I think Venables, from what I've seen has true Shuey level potential dare I say even better. But seriously this is a great mix of talent we have right now.

Anyway Petrucelle and Ryan as most talented (Raw potential)

Venables and Brander have the package i believe which would give them the longest AFL career though. So i guess that's my pick.

Waterman and Ryan have played in the same games with Venables and have had impact on some of those games.

Brander has had one of the most impressive starts that I can remember from any WCE draftee for A LONG time.

Saw Allen last year and thought he was too undersized for his role but that changes thanks to a growth spurt.

Could even have Ainsworth level or slightly higher than Venables. Usually first round picks suffer from enormous pressure to fulfill living up to the pick. Starting to think he may benefit from supporters being too scared to admit using a first pick on a low disposal half forward was wrong.

Would you play Darling as well? Obviously in this scenario Waterman would be out. If Nic Nat could get up to 70% game time I'd be tempted to drop Lycett, play Brander and use Darling/McGovern/Brander to chop out in the ruck. Don't think we will but I'd give it some serious consideration.

Yeah I figured in this scenario he would replace Waterman not play with Waterman/Darling/JK. We'd go in too tall if that were the case.

Cole was sexy af on the weekend. We saw glimpses of this a bit in 2016 and in the wafl at times. He’s gonna be great in defence this year if he can produce that this year. Having three creative players in defence is definitely a huge asset.
