There is no reasonable discussion.I'm surprised that a moron can't spot a moronic thread started to sh*t stir.Having a day off?

For starters, the phrase is 'Having an off day?', not 'Having a day off?'. At least try to get that much correct.

Richo raised a valid point, but instead of arguing with what he said, you opted to instead tell him to 'STFU' and then went on to accuse him of unsubstantiated crap that you personally seem to know alot about.

Poor form, real 'mature', but I guess people have come to expect that from you and what you post. :)

The phrase is actually both.Give up with trying to take the 'superior' stance. Its failing you. ;)

No he didn't.Does he know about our fitness and conditioning staff that were overhauled mid year? Injury management is the medical department. What he raised is an opinion that he wants to believe, and one that sits favourable with Whork fans and what they want to believe. And surprise surprise, you see it as a valid point.

I'm lost. Was that meant to be offending? :o

Gee thats deep.I couldn't remember the last thing I even responded to where you were concerned.I'm sorry for you that you take these forums so seriously and obviously lose a lot of sleep over what is written here.Sad, really sad. :o :)

Hey get off Phil, if you want to bag anyone - BAG ME ... Phil offers heaps to this forum and without his posts we would all be less informed...

Your point? That isn't what was argued. It was said by Zebra that North Melbourne had "shocking fitness issues" in 2006, something that was clearly pointed out to be wrong by Richo in his post.

mark73 said:

Defamation of character aside, you'd tend to find that most people would consider that derogatory (perhaps not yourself, but I obviously don't know what you do in your spare time. :o).

Who's losing any sleep over it? Your lack of intellect in the form of not being able to sensibly argue with someone was just being reinforced for your benefit. :)

You don't seem to get it.Injuries were what he was talking about. The lowest amount of i.n.j.u.r.i.e.s.The teams conditioning and endurance is what the club was angry about and is also why they were struggling to play 4 quarters. The guy we picked up who polled 13 votes in the brownlow that you seem to think you've done well by getting rid of mentioned it, and the lackluster pre season twice. They're the club in question.I'm assuming they know.

Well I can't think of any point I have made to you in the past that would be worth rehashing (apart from "I daresay" because its hard to not notice it given everywhere you post that I've been you kick off with it).But thats simply because its not that important to me.But your "once again you" remarks seem to tell me you see that differently. Most people take things with a grain of salt around here unless its clearly utter crap, but I don't know what you do in your spare time, so maybe you view things another way. :)

What a crap poll.
All teams are weak, and look likely to be weak for a while.

Blues....have been awful, Gibbs and Murphy and co should see joy for supporters soon!

Hawks....ditto, been down for a while, may head to Tassy permanantly, but if youngsters improve could make finals in 5 years.

Roos....List looks ordinary, but have a habit of bouncing back.

Bombers.....Youngsters a plenty, Lloyd coming back, exciting times ahead!

Another comment you've made from knowing absolutely nothing.Might be better if you just STFU.

And you know better? Clearly following your comments about the Kangaroos and Hawthorn, you do not.

mark73 said:
-EDIT- Why are you always coming to bat for Hawthorn? Are you queer for them or something? Or....are you queer for some of their young posters?

Hehe, lol. Got anymore? Come on, you can do better than that, how about you call be a d1ck, or how about you pull out the old Bitchmond routine?

The Zebra said:
I was giving reasons, not excuses - try re-reading.

Looked like excuses to me, no reference to your poor list. This year illustrated Kangaroo's true worth in the league.

The Zebra said:
Geelong has a far better list than your mob yet won less than you.
There are reasons for that.

That's not true, we had more injuries than them and yet still finished better than them, shows that our list has more depth. They have a slow midfield than holds them down, and their forwards didn't fire.

The Zebra said:
You think the ladder simply goes in order of quality of list?
Hilarious. You priority pick scabs really stick together hey?

Form is temporary, class is apparent. Have a look at 2006, the best list finished 1st and the worst list finished 16th. Injuries change things slightly, but as I said: Kangaroos had the least amount of injuries of all teams this year, so there is no excuse.

The Zebra said:
I tell you what, if we had have been getting a couple of picks in the top 5 we wouldn't have been trading anything - but even in our worst year in a ****ing decade and a half, with what you seem to think is a shocking list, with what you're implying is an idiot coach, we still managed to grind out more than 5 wins.

Your club can't afford to finish any lower. Any lower and the 15,000 that turn up to see your mob will get even lower. And even if you didn't have picks in the top 5, the picks you had you should have held onto instead of trading for hacks.

Richo83 said:

Lets see.Kangaroos are rubbish.Ok, apart from having a poor season, based on what?..............................................................................................................................well?............................................oh, they have a aging list, they've got no youngsters.Haven't they? Do you know any of their youngsters apart from the obvious?..........................................................................................................well?...................................................................We've won more premierships, have more members and more money.

In other words champ, :o :)

Hehe, lol. Got anymore? Come on, you can do better than that, how about you call be a d1ck, or how about you pull out the old Bitchmond routine?
Save our skins.Hows that for size. ;) I was going to remind you of Aaron Fiora, but that would be stooping too low.

Can't somebody blow Hawthorn up?

Everytime you turn around on here there is some pathetic thread started by their stupid little teenybopper supporters about irrelevant little nothing clubs like Hawthorn Richmond and Carlton.NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR IT MORONS!!!.Your clubs don't actually matter enough!! :thumbsd:

MonkeyBOY your name is fitting if you think Essendon are ahead of the Hawks...

Even more fitting if you think you have any good young talent ...

Win another 20 odd premierships and then your club may become as important as the three mentioned above ...

Enjoy your cup, odds are it will be a long time till you win another one in this competition ...

Hey and when the Hawks hold it up in a couple of years I might just swing over to your board and tell you how irrelivent your club is...

Richo83 said:
What are you takling about "shocking fitness issues", your club had the best injury run of all the clubs in the AFL.

And as for the trades, well that's your own damm fault for trading a 1st round pick for a hack. No-one forced you into that deal, so its your own fault.

And how exaclty are the hawks the worst in terms of their list? Hawthorn had a few injuries to their list, and finished 11th. Kangaroos had no injuries and finished 13th. Tells me that the Kangaroos fans will be suporting a fairly ordinary team next year. You better pray to god that Ladley doesn't trade pick three for Dixon.
Quality Post. :thumbsu:

Really. One year illustrates your worth in the league does it?
So what did Geelong's 2005 illustrate about them?
Got within a couple of points of a prelim if I remember correctly....

That's not true, we had more injuries than them and yet still finished better than them, shows that our list has more depth. They have a slow midfield than holds them down, and their forwards didn't fire.

...aha, they have a slow midfield and forwards that don't fire?
And I guess you could tell this from their 2005 form the same way you can tell the Kangas list is bad from one year?

Form is temporary, class is apparent. Have a look at 2006, the best list finished 1st and the worst list finished 16th. Injuries change things slightly, but as I said: Kangaroos had the least amount of injuries of all teams this year, so there is no excuse.

Nice saying - do you understand it?
So tell me, going by your previous logic and this little paragraph - how do you explain the Roos finishing 5th after the H&A in 2005 and then dropping to 14th in 2006 - with no major list changes?

Because on the one hand it seems you're saying that we can look at this year's ladder and get a clear indication of what will happen next year, but on the other hand the team your directly arguing against (as well as Geelong) prove that theory wrong.

Best to look over a few seasons. Look for a pattern. This will give you a better understanding.

For instance, look at the teams who have spent a lot of time near the bottom and haven't played ANY finals in five or so years. I can point you in the direction of a couple of teams that qualify under this criteria if you're struggling for candidates.

Your club can't afford to finish any lower. Any lower and the 15,000 that turn up to see your mob will get even lower.

So because your club can 'afford' to finish lower they were happy to keep losing for a few years? Classy, honourable group you follow there.
I always thought the aim was to win.

And even if you didn't have picks in the top 5, the picks you had you should have held onto instead of trading for hacks.

Nathan Thompson is a hack is he? No one deny's the Hay trade was bad - or at least it appears to be at the moment - but we also got Swallow and McConnell this year - both under 20 - both made good debut's for the Roos.
Add them to the likes of Hale, McIntosh, Moran, Wells, Smith, Perry, Riggio, Firrito (plus we get our first gifted top 3 selection ever) and the Kangas young guys are right up there.

F*ck - throw in some priority picks and we would clearly have the best group - but some teams are still embarassed (rather than excited) about losing and try scrounge together more than 5 wins in a season.

Funny how they finish above us for the first time in yonks and they have the say.

1. North fans were very unhappy with their year.
2. Hawks fans thought their year was great.
3. Tigers were reasonably happy with their year.

And people say we accept mediocrity? pfft, we might have tanked that one game, but you guys are horribly wrong with the way you have gone about it.

Who cares, Hawks will be the next Saints anyways, I actually see a future for the Tigers.

North fans were unhappy with their year? They were hoping that they lost the last 5 games of the season so that they'd get a decent draft pick and then decided to take the moral high ground afterwards and claim how they are 'appalled with how things turned out'.

Some Hawk fans might be happy with how our year has turned out and the progress we have shown on previous years, but we sure as hell didn't wish our team lost matches during the course of the year.

You didnt want to lose matches did ya?

:D

Thats gotta be the funniest call ever Philly, maybe your coaching staff didnt want to lose any matches, but I remember some posters here dying to lose.

But this isnt really about who has the worst list is it Phil? You have a problem with the North Melbourne Football Club and it hurts you to say anything good about them.

Heck you even said Walker is better than Wells without any facts or back ups.

But I dont really care, you actually think india is a good cricket team, so North will turn it around going by that.

See the North forum calculating how much they needed to lose by to keep Pick 3 in Round 22. :D

Well, now that you bring it up,

http://www.pro-stats.com.au/psw/web/compare_players?tid1=103&pid1=2004017&tid2=110&pid2=2003038

He's statistically about as good as Wells despite being a year younger with more time/room to improve. :)

Yep I do, but do you and Mark have some sort of obsession about that or do you just like to randomly spout it whenever you've got nothing else to say? :D

I am not happy any year we don't play finals.
I think we are heading in the right direction though.

And just like the Hawk fans worrying that they might lose the position to get Pick 3

Works both ways huh?

Really? Do you think that aliens are out to get you as well?!
Yes, they are.

http://bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270969&highlight=Wells: Here you say that Wells hasnt proven anything, yet you say Walker is a better footballer how again?

http://bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=266397&highlight=Wells: This thread you basically say Wells isnt a good player yet, what is he then? a serviceable player? :D

http://bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=266487&page=2&highlight=Wells: This thread pushing that Lewis is better than Wells. Phil, just like Sachin is to Ponting, Well is to Lewis. BIG difference in talent and quality. Wells 15 possies is better than Lewis' 20.

Need I do more?

Well, now that you bring it up,

Wells averaged 18.7 possies, more than Walker, more clearances, more inside 50's, more tackles, more bounces, more 1%ers (Despite you thinking he is lazy ), more first possesions...heck even more hit outs. He also finished equal 2nd in the Best and Fairest where Walker finished 6th in a worse team.

But wait! theres more!

Wells averaged more possies than Walker at the same age, Wells finished 4th in the Besn and Fairest when he was younger than Walker.

But you dont care do you?

Yep I do, but do you and Mark have some sort of obsession about that or do you just like to randomly spout it whenever you've got nothing else to say? :D
I wont judge, as Mr.Protea never does that ;)
