no one in the afl comes close to Maradona

ur talking about south america and australia

maradona wins by a country mile in every category besides weight.

Athletes mean nothing. Hundreds of years from now no one will know their names even if they are on some ancient obscure data base.
The people will be baffled as to why these generations held sporting achievement in such high regard.
I agree but gee, you'd be a ******* riot at parties I bet.

Was going to suggest Todd Goldstein for his tap work, but the comparisons probably stop there.

Clearly Fev.

Would suggest Diesel because of the Maradona like ability and he is generally disliked off field but he is not a bad guy off the field. In fact very successful business man.

I'm saying Tony Lockett

GOAT AFL goal kicker. Just too undisciplined and kept getting suspended.

Yes that's an on-field thing, but speaks to a temperament issue.

Peter Matera - silky-skilled footballer and 1992 Norm Smith Medalist

Maradona - genius on field, train wreck off field.

Many issues involving drugs, weight, coaching failures, scandals.....

Who is your club's Maradona (past or present) for all or any of the above reasons?

My club is easy - Cuz.
Cuz only went off the rails because he played for Richmond.

Darren Millane, one of the biggest tragedies in VFL/AFL history, taken in his prime doing the wrong thing.
