After watching Seven talk about Bruce McAveney and Denis Commetti as a 'dream team' when it seems Michael Voss and Channel Seven's producer's are on another planet when Bruce is commentating, I am interested to know who everyone likes calling their games.

I like Dennis Commetti the best.

Can't stand
Michael Christian and Jason Bennett.

I've loved BT's commentary since he was on magic about 10 years ago. He didn't last there pretty long once triple m had a listen to him.

Rexy is great, too.

Gotta love Bruce's passion as well. Always gets you in the footy mood. A bit like listening to Paul Kelly's 'Leaps and bounds' on a Saturnday morning on your ipod. Just part of footy.

Tough between the three for me.

Rex Hunt makes listening to the game on radio fun, only problem is that he sometimes goes a little too far and you lose track of the game.

Cometti (one "M" by the way). He's the consumate professional. My second favourite is James Brayshaw. He's underrated and adds humour to his call. I have great regard for Tim Lane also, but think his descriptive style is better suited to radio calling than television.

Cometti used to be good, probably at his best in his first stint with 7. When he went to 9 he fell into the trap of bowing/licking mcguires arse and his comedy became very forced , he became a caricature of himself. The low point was when on the show Any Given Sunday (which was a brilliant show before they wrecked it) he was asked to put song titles into his football calling later in the day. Too rehearsed Denis, ********house mate.

Bruce : Thats special!

JB: OH BRIAN!!

Brian: Richhhhhhhhhhoooooo!!!

Commeti: Friday Night Football on .... 7

Grypas: How could you not love the kangaroos!

Uses to much nicknames. Dazzes Off at times.

Agreed with wazzabp, Rex is great if you don't give a rats about the game, because he talks so much crap you'd never actually know what's going on.

For a game I'm interested in, Cometti and BT, with a nod to Bruce.
