Grant is the obvious choice, but I'm thinking West may be a longer term choice (3 years younger).
Another thing against our superstar is that he isn't an outspoken/"arrogant" type (thank god for that!!!) like in the Buckley mould.
I'm not saying West is in the Buckley mould (or that this kind of captain is what is right for our club) either, but I think West really has the enthusiasm for the job (proven by his call to Steve Waugh for leadership advice), and I wouldn't want to see Grant have any unwanted pressure placed upon him, or it could even go entirely the other way, and a leadership role could prove to bring the best out of him. I just want to get your opinions.
Or another option could be Co-captains- i don't think it has been trialled for a while, and could be worth a try. I'm not really a fan of it, but who knows......
