Who should replace Blight on TALKING FOOTY ?

I'd like to see Dermott Brereton replace Blight on TALKING FOOTY.When he filled in for Mike 'Noddy ' Sheahan a few weeks ago,it was the best episode of the year.
They should ditch Sheahan as well.Replace him with Timmy Watson.

Robert Walls would bring his incisive analysis and be great. I don't think Tim Watson has what it takes for a program like TF. But my vote would be for Jim Stynes - Jimmy is an intelligent and thoughtful bloke with an ironic wit and that fantastic Irish voice.

I think Dermott should replace Malcolm. Only been out of the game for a while, good knowledge and a bit of a laugh (if they let him get away with it).

But most of importantly of all:
Is Bruce going to make a comeback after his olympic commitments?
He's taken a breather for a while, but god i loved the show when he was there. I know some people hate his over the top commentary, but as the host of Talking Footy he was brilliant. Tim Lane wasn't up to Bruce's standard, but Gerard is an absolute tosser with no input whatsover, just there to have a "giggle" at Mike's and Malcolm's "crazy antics".

Bruce, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssseee come back.

Paul Salmon is one of the best media 'Heads' around but Parko should get the go. Might help when the Hawks need to find a salary for him if he is already being paid by Talking footy

I think Sam Kekovich should replace Blighty. His commentary on Tha Fat over the last couple of weeks have been hilarious, and a North Legend, should replace a North Legend. Dermie to replace Mike (who I think is the biggest idiot in Melbourne), and Bruce to come back and host the show.
By the way, can the Looney Tunes at Prime (Canberra) show the program at a decent hour. 1am Tuesday morning just ain't good enough.

But whatever they do... please NO Dermie (I remember 1989 when Yeats)... or Robert (sack the coach, I cant think today) Walls...

They need Brucey back to... and we all know Mike is a *****.

Could you imagine Mike and Walls on the same program... Mike says "Sack him"... Robert says "NO Sack him"... Mike says "No Sack him"... Robert says "NO Sack him"... Mike says "No Sack him"... Robert says "NO Sack him"... and then at the end of the show they say Sack the lot... none of the players are responding to any of the coaches...

David Parkin was mentioned in the paper the other day as a replacement for Blight.I hope Parkin doesn't get it because he's just a grumpy old fart and Mike Sheahan already fills that role.
Parkin hates Sheahans guts so if Parkin gets the job Sheahan might go.

Rooboy there's no way those dicks at Seven will have Ross on the couch, they sacked him remember. He was one of the best special comments man and they get rid of him

. The only guy I could stand listening to when anyone played in WA., never biased.

Parko would be good but they'll have to get Timmy back on board some how, maybe the couch will be that vehicle. Does need Bruce back though Westy. I thought Tim lane would have been better he's always great on radio, never seemed comfortable on TF. Gerard has improved on what he used to be, very good on 3AW sports show, but he aint no Bruce. Bruce always kept the guys focused.

Dermie reminds me of Watson pre Saints. A know it all. The difference is that Watson had the courage to put his reputation on the line & coach. Unfortunately for him he flopped big time so no Timmy for me. No cred.

You need Sheahan on the show so you have a tosser to whinge about.

My opinion of Walls went up when he said the Crows would finish 12th this year & everybody else said top 8. I hated him at the time but he was pretty close.

And isn't Mr Glendening an assistant at Freo.
Hardly worth travelling to Melbourne every week for a talkfest even if he got the okay from Drum to do so.

Rooboy96 (why the 96?)

Jason and Dermie have their good and bad points for all to see.

However, they are no better or worse than Robbo, Morphett, Kerles, Cornes, Campbell, Roos, Mainwaring so on and so on.

For all his negatives that some harp on, one thing about Dermie which you can't deny, is he doesn't hide behind the sheets like a lot of commentators. He calls it straight down the line. That means if someone is having a good run with the umps, if some one gets cleaned up unfairly etc. That is courageous.
