I like Murphy, think his game will stand up and has performed well in the past

Not big on Kuhnemann, don’t think his bowling will suit Australia. He far exceeded my expectations in India and Sri Lanka

Rocchiccioli I’m fine with. His record has been great in the Shield for a sustained time now. I’d still have Murphy above him

Murphy for G familiarity, Rocc on recent Shield performance, Kuhn is probably least likely but the English batting lineup may create some juicy potential there.

Honestly, all 3 are decent options and I'd hope that whoever gets the spot is given some leeway from the punters and the press - the poms are going to go hard early on whoever is chosen to mess with them mentally. Gonna need to be strong willed to make it work (which, being a spinner in Australia, you'd hope is already the case).

Rocco...

you know what you are getting with both Murphy and kuna Bowlers who are better suited for the subcontinent

As a spinner Rocco has been in the top 5 wickets takers in the shield for the past 3 seasons bowling on green tops that has suited the pace men for ages and he is the most similar to Lyon with his over spin and bounce compared to Murphy who bowls quick for a spinner and uses side spin

why not see what Rocco can provide ??

Tough call between Murphy and Rocchiccioli. Both are ready to go.

Rocc being a similar style to Lyon must add to the templation but I’m leaning toward Murphy. I think long-term he’s the one for the 2027 tour of India.

Really depends on what they want.

Murphy has more tricks and IMO a higher ceiling than Kuhnemann. But Murphy has been captained pretty badly. With him, we are back where we were with Nathan Lyon in 2011. Need to pick and stick, and be patient with him.

Kuhnemann is ready to go. He is a more mature selection in the style of Steve O'Keefe. Dour, tight, gets through the overs.

I can see Murphy taking a few wickets but also getting carted. I can see Kuhnemann not taking any wickets but keeping it tight. 0/70 off 30 overs type bowling.

I have both of these two way ahead of anyone else.

I would seriously consider playing them both if the wicket is on the flatter side. Starc, Boland, Murphy, Kuhnemann, Green to carry the workload.
