So with Lyon out for the rest of the series (likely), who would you like to see replace him?

Matthew Kuhnemann's bowling looks more dangerous.Murphy has huge potential IMO
Not shocked there. They’ll want the Vic playing at MCG, not sure how you can justify his selection over Rocchicioli unless you admit the Sheffield shield is pointless though.Victorian media campaigning for Murphy
Looking on cricinfo, Beer had 21 wickets in 10 games @ 46 that Shield season. It's incredible he was selected. To pick a left armer in Australian conditions they'd want to be dominating the shield across multiple seasons after the Beer/Doherty horror shows.
I would go with Murphy.

Lyon was also over 40. Doherty surprisingly averaged 28 but his overall record was abysmal. SOK was the best option at that time.
I'd be happy with any of them. I actually think Kuhnemann is the best of the three but he's only played tests in Asia. I just like the way he adapted to test cricket.Would also like to see Rocc rewarded the same way Webster was though.
The reason I have Murphy 3rd of the 3 is that he is quicker through the aur and a bit flatter, giving it a rip. That is more suited to the sub continent than Australian pitches, where more overspin and bounce is needed. His first class average of 34, compared to his Test average, all on the sub continent, of 28 is testimony to that. Australia is the worst place to bowl finger spin and you need a certain skill to bowl well here. Hence why sub continent spin bowlers struggle badly here. Murphy definitely plays on sub continent Tours and did do pretty well in England too.I like Murphy, think his game will stand up and has performed well in the past
Not big on Kuhnemann, don’t think his bowling will suit Australia. He far exceeded my expectations in India and Sri Lanka
Rocchiccioli I’m fine with. His record has been great in the Shield for a sustained time now. I’d still have Murphy above him
