Also if we're looking for these quick, skillful indiginous boys i think Harry Miller maybe another one to look at. I don't know what he's doing at the moment but he was with Hawthorn like last year or the year before. I played against him back in Port Lincoln where all the Burgoynes etc come from and i tell you he is a freak. Seen him at the TAB the other week, got a feeling he's with the Port Magpies at the moment. Anyone see him in action recently?

Yeah i'm not too sure but i'd say he would be rotating throught the middfield and forwardline. I can picture him being another stokes, but quicker. Compared to Wonaemirri i'm not sure, i get a feeling that Patrenko will be more consistant, and not go missing like some of the indiginous players do.

Petrenko looks tiny though from what I remember. This is probably why he's not been spoken of in higher regard (ala David MacKay).

I meant tiny in build. Yes, I recognise that he's short but more than anything it looked like he is really slight.

Don't get me wrong - I'm a fan of his! I'm just speculating why he might not be rated so highly.

I see there was a bit of talk in the Sunday Mail today that Port may have their eye on Obst...guess it guarantees they don't.

Salter, Obst, Havelberg...i wonder if we will take one?

There are heaps of good SANFL kids we should be looking at. Infact prolly best bunch for quite some time (non under 18's). Take out Ebert, Greenwood, Wright and McNamara there isn't a great deal of talent. Hartlett is a big talent but he is too young.

Evans, Westhoff, Salter, Obst, McDonald, Havelburg, Callinan are all worth drafting just to name a few. Callinan could be put as a mature rookie, damn he is a good player. Even tempting to get him with our last pick. Something we need is attacking goalkicking midfielders who can not only crumb but also add to the rotations. Be good to get Porps up to midfield status next year.
