If Camporeale isn't traded I'd only keep him if he took a massive paycut and same goes for kouta both play like ballerinas these days. Speaking of which Ryan Houlihan did seem to hit the weights to give him more courage so I'd keep him as pace and good foot skills are hard to find at Carlton. Would see what we could get in trade for Whittnal then decide. Prendy and DeLuca are classic unco but might be needed for Heigh/Rucking.

Definate delistings - Bowyer, Teague, Norman, Pleming
Morell, Clarke,

Don't know how anyone could contemplate trading our most consistant player who can just about play anywhere on the ground - Good onya Lappin

wat a great way to start your big footy career by saying one of the stupidist things i have ever heard.

Get over it mate, you get worked up about it all dont you? All Ive ever said about him is that he is better than Prendergast and Morrell - I never said he was a world beater. It's a suggestion, not the answer. Theers a difference there I dont think you get!

If say Prenda and Morrell are delisted who do we take?

I'm with you on this one paddy he could be..............could be worth a try

I think you should keep Morel, Lappin, Koutou, Campo (gee he gets the hard ball so often), Scotland (would still be playing at Williamstown if at Collingwood) and what about about David Clarke maybe he can help with the finances

Collingwood is also playing good footy, nice to have company at the bottom!

RoK if your going to slag someone off make sure you get the right person. I think you'll find dogga17 make that statement about Kouta, not me.

point taken...........easy mistake to make though!!! Change of name might be approriate!!

Possibles to be either delisted or traded. Probably wont trade all of Whitnall, Campo, Houla and Lappo but maybe 1 or 2 of them. The others I think are "dead-wood". Must go and free up some room for this years draftees and hopefully 1 or 2 very good players from other clubs.

Trade
Whitnall
Camporeale
Lappin
Houlihan

Trade/Delist
Davies
Norman
Morrell
Sporn
Wiggins
Prendergast

Delist
Bowyer
Clarke
Bannister
Johnson

Thoughts?

your list is pretty accurate

Trade
Whitnall- been good this season, get some quality onballers and deliver the ball quicker can kick 40-50 goals
Camporeale- won't leave carlton and would not be much interest in him on the market
Lappin- stay on 2 years otherwise he will have to leave, he will fid it hard to get 3 years and good money on open market
Houlihan- hate to say it but need to look for a trade

Trade/Delist
Davies- consistency is his biggest problem, has some trade value
Norman- carlton and karl's marriage has gone sour don't be surprised to see him at essendon
Morrell- can't see any real trade value
Sporn- can't see any real trade value especially with so many injuries
Wiggins- can't see any real trade value
Prendergast (Delist)

Delist
Bowyer agree
Clarke agree
Bannister agree
Johnson- get some runners around him and he can be quite damaging, he gets his hand on the ball a fair bit

I wouldnt having a go at Skinny, Campo or Lance. Dont know what we could offer you though. Maybe a first round pick and a player of sorts.

would struggle to get a 1st round for skinny or campo
lance is 25 and has a lot to offer, he just needs to be in a team with a quality midifeld.

scottydeewah- is S Johnson out of contract at the cats?

Thankfully we have signed him. The only other person we havent signed now that I know of is Jimmy Bartel. Who any team would love. His management always holds off until the end of the season though so we will probably resign him. We would want a LOT for him either way.

Steve Johnson was a required player last year and other teams were told by us to keep their hands off, even during the ottens trade (and when we were talking to Lance). He is too much of a gun to trade. Good choice though!

It is hard to know what we would give. Both are still more than capable players BUT they are both now over 30. A first round pick is probably a bit much as you are giving up a potential 10 year player for a 1 or 2 season bit player. If ricco goes we should try for campo and get him to play the same role.

- Prendergast
- Bannister

- Clarke
- Johnson
Trade
- Houlihan
- Davies
- Norman (deserves a second chance)
- Whitnall
- Deluca (if RIchmond want another quality unco)

What is it with you blokes and Whitnall
Have you actually been to a game and watched him play
Put more quality around the guy and he will be a superstar yet again

and Deluca has had all of 1.5 seasons and you are ready to ditch him
he is definitely worth two more years, big blokes aren't that easy to find

and just because Houlihan has a laconic attitude doesn't mean
he can't play just that he doesn't give himself over heart and soul
can you say the same about your job!

the rest I agree with but would add Wiggins and Clarke

For what it's worth, I've beem to most of the games Whitnall has played in Melbourne, starting with his debut against the Bombers where he kicked 4 on Fletcher.

The guy has clearly struggled the past 4 years, and don't be distracted by the fact that he gets a bit the footy across half back this year. If you really watch him closely this year, he doesn't actually stop his direct opponent. We cannot afford a bloke at CHB who goes chasing kicks, we need someone who has the abiliity to firstly stop the Tredrea's, Hall's, Pavlich's, then go chasing kicks.

He is OK when against a no name forward, but I don't want him at CHB against the quality forwards on a full time basis.

The guy has been on $500k a season for the past 3-4 years, and hasn't even had the decency to turn up fit until this year. Funny that, same year his contract is up for renewal.

Time to go Lance.

Shhh! Rodney Eade might be listening. ;)

Anyone and everyone is up to be traded if the right deal comes along so I'm not going to be bothered listed the trade potentials.

As for delisting here's the group in trouble:
- David Clarke
- Glen Bowyer
- Jordan Bannister
- Karl Norman
- Justin Davies
- Trent Sporn
- Simon Wiggins
- Digby Morrell
- Brett Johnson
- Troy Longmiur
- Callum Chambers
- Cory McGrath
- Ryan Houlihan
- Ian Prendergast

Not all of these will be delisted, others will be traded saving a few of these from the chopping block, and some will probably keep there spot for depth reasons, but a fair chuck of these gone at the end of the season.

Spot on...........time to make some tough decisions. The only problem is, that's its going to take two seasons to get rid of them all! Meaning Mcgrath, Sporn & Wiggins might get a reprieve for one more year.

Okay I was harsh on Kouta, but you can see he is no where near the kouta of old holding the ball in one hand fending off a player with the other while pulling along another two oppostion players holding on the back of his jumper. It's due to his injuries I know, but I think he was weaker than he should have been, maybe improved a little towards the end of season. He may look to some as being the hard ball man of the club but thats only because the rest of the team is so soft.

Contested possessions

Kouta 76

daylight

Scotland 46

that puts Kouta in the top 10 in the AFL. Higher than Voss and Hodge.

Who is doing the stats? How good is their vision? What their definition of contested/Hard ball gets? Stats can lie

David Parkin has gone on record as saying Kouta is the best clearance player he has ever seen. Case closed.
