The thing is, Patrick, and everyone else, was playing against Richmond. That’s right, Richmond. In my opinion, they are one of the bottom four sides going around. It was hard to take anything away from the game, even though Bowden was fairly impressive. Play against a better team, though, and he won’t take those marks he took.

The difference between this week and last week was you weren't up aginst a team of two bit bums from sleepy hollow that let the Bulldogs do as they pleased ...

The tiges applied a little old fashioned pressure and the rest is history......you'll nver get to look like millionaries playing the good sides

Ahhh yeah he showed that he has got some talent in there somewhere, but it will be interesting to see how he performs when we take on a better side!

I thought bowdo did alright today. I hope he stays in next week, so he gets more match time, cause the more match time he gets the better he will get.

Go Bowdo i thought he started off well. Its a pity he didnt get the two goals as they wouldve given him abit of confidence as he was managing to hold on a few marks as well.I thought he showed abit so hopefully they keep in him the seniors for next week and becomes a key forward for us.

I think Pat did really well this week easily enough 2 keep him in the team once he gets that confidence up he will b a hndy asset. He may not b a star but i think his good enough 2 b a regular player his a good mark and a quick thinker.

As I said in another thread I didn't see the game so am only going on radio reports. commentators seemed to be having fun making derisive comments about both bowdens' disposal. Was it that bad?

Joel was laughable it was so bad. First he kicks across goal straight to Brownie (who missed a sitter), then he tries to centre it at CHF, hits Eagleton and we goal, then kicks OOB when under no pressure. The Richmond supporters were going ballistic.

Pat kicked a couple of points, one was a shocker.

Bowden is a confidence player and if you give him ground time in the seniors he can improve. He does have ability.

Speaking of having ability, Skipper and Faulkner looked good for the Bees.

He started well, then vanished without trace. And Joel Bowden while soft is one of Richmonds best players, he is the feral Tigers fans scapegoat. And talking about feral, what sort of fans give bronx cheers to a guy in their second game for the club (Blumfield)???

the bronx cheers were reserved for Joel Bowden when in the second half he miraciously hit a teammate on the chest with a pass....We have a search party out for Blumfield , apparently he was selected

Blumfield was also given bronx cheers, in the 2nd quarter. Anyway giving any player bronx cheers is pathetic, Richmond players are quick to turn on their own. Every week there are moronic Tiger fans ringing up radio stations abusing Bowden or giving him bronx cheers during matches. You've been **** for 20 years, it isn't all Bowdens fault, in fact there are plenty of players worse then him in the side

He's a dud. He's an overrated dud. He's an overrated soft dud.

There's noone more overrated then him in the side by the media(note the Herald Sun giving him BOG today). He has been a regular member of the side for 5 years on the back of not much.

Frankly, if Richmond swapped Bowden for Eagleton, I would take it.

Does it run in the family?

Eagleton's true value on or off the field is beyond calculation.
