What's the concensus on who to drop for Chaffey for next Friday night's game against the Dees?

Fleming
44 minutes ground time for 4 kicks, 0 handballs, 2 marks, 1 tackle

Hyde
38 minutes ground time for 6 kicks, 12 handballs, 7 marks, 3 tackles.

Shulz
Only 13 minutes for 1 mark and 1 handball.

Hartigan
102 minutes, for 5 kicks, 4 hanballs, 3 marks and 1 tackle.

As much as I like him my gut feeling says Fleming......

I think Schulz may be saved by the fact that Melbourne have a farily tall forward line today. Nietz, Miller, White and Robertson who plays tall and Holland was up there at times as well. So I'd leave Schulz in just to give us another tall option in case one of the Melbourne forwards gets on top.

I guess Hartigan is also a possibility seeing as he was playing the Chaffey role in the side so it would be a like for like replacement if that was the case.

Hyde would be stiff as last night was probably one of the better games he's played during his career.

For me Chaffey for Hyde.

suggesting that Hyde should be dropped is insane. Hyde has slowly (but surely) been developing and in my mind played well last night. It is his takling, his pressure and his determination that I really like. Sure he is not your silky smooth player but that doesnt mean he shouldnt be in the team.

To drop Hyde after last nights game (which I thought was good!) would be a slap in his face.

Looking for players to drop - Fleming and Schulz. Schulz didnt deserve his spot in yesterdays match and didnt do anything in the game to warrant a match next week.

Hartigan was very servicable and shoulnt be dropped. Didak is a very good player and Hartigan kept him under control. Give him a couple of games to see whether or not he is up to the big time!

Schultzy will get dropped.

Hartigan kept Didak quiet for most of the night - not bad for a debut.

Fleming did the 'ruff n tuff' stuff. He's hard at the pill and that will keep him in for a tagging postion next week.

Hyde is still developing and they'll try to keep him in for the experience. Did a few nice things with the ball last night and he will grow in stature with the more game time he gets.

What about Bowden? Did you see that kickout that went to him and he went up with one arm, and actually made sure he got under the ball and no chance of making contact with the Collingwood player coming in? Fricken soft!!!

Drop him.

I'd love tommy roach to get a game and perhaps fleming needs to make why along with shultz. Bowden must remain in the side. He'll get better as the season progresses.

GO TIGES!!!

A man after my own heart.

After what i read on here about bowdowns game i was expecting
SOMETHING.Instead all i could see was more of the same
crap he's been giving us for the last 7 years with not as many
turn-overs.

Butter Boy Bowden.

Ray Hall was a more imposing force and actually did ok.

Drop him.

Looking at the stats, Fleming looks the most deserving to be dropped. I do think however that Hartigan was in filling for Chaffey and will be dropped back to Coburg.

Fleming will never be a footballer. He looks absolutely lost on the field. He must make way this week. The game at this level is out of his league. We MUST keep playing the kids as we have a number of guys who'll be retiring over the next few years... D Kellaway, Rogers, Campbell, Richo, all in or about to enter the 30's.

I love Hyde but he's a little fella and needs to add a heap of bulk to his frame to have any hope in the midfield.

Saw Hyde was in the top impact players for rnd 1 according to The Herald-Sun. Just the fact of where it was reported dulls a lot of credibility, but there it was.

I like the intensity of Fleming. If the team plays hard consistently every week his value could be questioned. Until then I'd like him to keep getting a game.

I'd like Tom Roach to get a go this week but dropping 2 or 3 would be pretty harsh.

Does anyone know what number we picked Hyde up at? Anyway i would drop fleming. I wanna see Roachy get a run but chaffey for this week. If hyde or hartigan dont get a run this week there are plenty lining up for their spots. I heard that hilton is available for this match and we also have blumfield back i think and weller would be knocking on the door so that is really good to have more depth so theres more competition
