Who to replace Richie

Richie Benaud is the Donald Bradman of the commentary world.

Every single one of my cricket memories from the late 80s and onwards feature this classic man as the visual figurehead. Who is equipped to step into the massive hole he is going to create when he stops commentating in Australia.

While i really like the emergence of Slats as a commentator (especially when compared to Boycott) he is nowhere near as insightful or entertaining as the great man. I also liked simon o donnel when he was involved, but he seems not to be involved as much anymore.

Who do we think is fit to step into Richies hallowed cream jacket?

Very tough to replace a legend- my baseball team had an announcer around whom I grew up- through him, I grew to love the game and the team...he died suddenly midseason a few years back, and the news was really a blow. Listening to the team now, but it sounds so generic....

Nah...joking- going to need to be a cricket man, and I don't think any of the ex players in the crew now fit the bill (they just don't wear the cream, the bone, the off white.....). I'm going on reputation here, not having heard him, but what about James Brayshaw- know he is doing the footy, but he did play for SA, correct?

I wouldn't give the job to the Pom, Nicholas- reckon you want an out and out Aussie to take the CCP (and ed, that rules you out)...

James Brashaw, Maxy Walker, and Kerry O' Keefe would be fair inclusions. Also pretty sure Brashaw played for WA and SA.
