Who will be 2019's Cheryl Kernot?

Remove this Banner Ad

In 2001 Cheryl Kernot lost Dickson to Dutton, but Dutton's win isn't what people remember. What they remember was one of the best election night melts in Australian history, with Cheryl slagging off everyone and anyone for her defeat (except herself).

So the million dollar question is, who will be the Shazza of 2018?

The safe money is on Tone's. If he loses (and its still very much an if) it's almost a lock he will not go into the sunset quietly.

Dutton is looking at defeat, but has been buried in a bunker for 90% of this election.

If the Nats get a hit, the beetroot from New England could be good value, especially if Sky News (or where ever he rocks up) has an open bar

and lets not forget the ALP, if its a loss or even close, who will lead the on screen blame game?

You then have the various indi's, who what they lack in profile make up for in self importance.

so who do we think will provide the best on screen melt in defeat for 2019?

If her party’s vote is as poor as expected recently, I feel Pauline could be right up there

The lnp member for Corangamite (Sarah Henderson) I think could do a good melt. She went the labor party when on jon faine because “if labor are so worried about women in liberal party they should stop trying to remove one of the remaining liberal women”

My recollection is that her infamous interview was in 1998 (when she thought she had lost)

Might be time to have a look at New England, ' the beetroot' comment is
transparent & simply wrong assessment based in hope.

The poly in question got a firm vote of support that most would respect, not the haters, they're incommunicado leaving it to Albo to reset rejected policy.

Lets hope Auditor General report on water allocations (MDMA) is as transparent as Ms P is on Adani ....

Given he had a rant before and after the result, the odds of him having a rant were pretty good
