Mainly here so we can enjoy the LOLs afterwards at the end of 2023, but also an interesting discussion point.

I’m in genuine two minds and can’t call it, but who do you see finishing higher in 2023?

Who is positioned better from a list/team perspective?

Let the games begin…

Mod Note: This is a thread for BANTER and giving and taking a bit of the mickey. Enter at your own risk!
However this does NOT mean name calling, personal abuse, injury trolling, swearing or gifs/memes with swear words in them. Keep it clean and above the belt.
Thank you.

It's a much improved Carlton team since back then mate.;)
Actually all the recent metrics suggest otherwise. Much like the pies run last year, outside of the pies no one believed. Blues the same, 1 good quarter from anyone they play from here on, the wheels will most likely be flying off. The last 4 games although a few wins, blues have been horrible in periods of those games.

The Wobblers have done well to finish top of the table- and it comes to nothing when they lose to Melbourne in their 'qualifying final'...

meanwhile the Blues get a nice littel warm up for the players coming back from injury against Shitney - who had to be (literally) grafted into the eight.

Setting up a nice FU scenario game the following week - with teh inevitable- when it matters result for the Blues.

IF Carlton against Sydney AND (when) the woblers lose against Melbourne - all that 2 games clear in H&A and impenetrable advantage to a to4 tweam adds up to bits of F all as both teams will then have to win the same number of games to win a flag...

truly nightmare scenario for the wobblers - sicne Carlton have already outperformed just to make finals...

WOWEEE what a nightmare for the wobblers to contemplate.

GO DEMONS!!

Someone was truly excited writing all this.

Can someone please provide a translator?

Mmm ok

Anyway welcome back to the land of the "bed-shitters" after 12 or so years of whatever you call not making finals and winning spoons etc... bed-rooters?
Hey, you asked. I just provided the answer.

We've won over half our grand finals. Pies are a touch over a third.
Don't shoot the messenger.

Have any other teams won more than 81 finals?

Is it better to s**t the bed during home and away and not make finals?
Can you believe these guys

They've done NOTHING but s**t the bed for 20 years

No prelims since 2000

They've NEVER won an interstate final

And now, after one short, umpire-assisted winning streak they want to party like its 1995 lol

here is a little doodle pic that explains your nightmare - since you can't read and you've shown you can't do numbers...

182 finals games for 101 losses.

Can you now do a similar thing but filter on Carlton's losing (or even winning) Preliminary Finals and Grand Finals since the turn of the century?

Actually, to save some time and help you out, I've done it myself.

And here it is:

<does not compute>

"Umpire-assisted" - come on I know you're better than that

I think Carlton deserved those wins, but they could easily have been losses, the dominant run of form was impressive but ended when you played your GF in Rd 20
Beat Saints who were 5th at the time
Beat Dees who were top 4 at the time in arguably the best game of the year
Beat GC away who have always been our bogey side

Umpiring had nothing to do with any of them imo and if we are being technical any close win could have been a loss
