No, i was actually there for all 3, 79 was a hoot
Make it sound more authentic by using 79 urban patois.

“79 was a groove. A total gas man”. Kids today wouldn’t know what you were on about and by kids I mean anyone under the age of 45 with no recollection whatsoever of Carlton being any good.

Harmes was nearly in the 2nd row, when he tapped that ball back in, it really was groovy

I think Carlton as a club lack backbone and this means they rise slower and lower, and sink rapidly.

Since the rorts they used to steal flags were scotched Carlton have won nothing, and they have forgotten how to win without bent rules.

Usual MO is the Navy Failure Addicts stack up top 10 draft picks, most likely by tanking, but the moral rot of their heritage of rorting and tanking means they peak around 5th and quickly slump long and low.

Already started to plummet last year, I really hope they've changed because Voss has been good for them, but their go to is blame the coach, maybe scapegoat a player, and give themselves a pat on the knob for being hard-nosed winners as they dodge finals again.

Pies slip from time to time eg 2017, 2021, but we usually make top 4 within a year or two after. That takes moral fibre.

Yeah mate the bloke who finished 7th in our BnF & spiritual leader wasn’t a big loss.

Meanwhile you crap on about how hard done by you were because Cox missed a few games.

Genuine idiot.
So 32 year old Docherty coming off his third knee reco is a top 10 player at Carlton, whilst Harry McKay isn't?

OK.

Then again, Carlton supporters probably honestly believe they have 18 players in their top 10...

But didn’t Vossy rush Docherty back for the Brisbane. Shouldn’t the reintroduction of your “spiritual leader” have inspired the troops to offer up a bit more than 0-60?

Just asking for a friend, which side plummeted more in 2024 ?
Us, you know that. We had further to fall, and we've taken bold steps to bounce back, like we always do.

The problem with soft draws like Carltons had for several years in a row, is it breeds complacency at the business end. You don't get North twice in the finals, that's why Carlton has bowed out so rapidly in their few post-rort finals appearances.

In 2023 you showed a little steel, albeit against self destructive opposition. This September? Normal transmission resumed.

North are tough opposition- Collingwood supporters already know this
Wish we didn't have to play them twice. Would much prefer essendon

Pies beat North by a similar margin that Carlton beat Richmond by in Round 1, the difference being it took 3 x game ending injuries to Richmond to enable Carlton to get over the line.

But if a win like that helped Carlton's ladder position to be overstated based on their ability, and therefore influenced their decision to refrain from improving their list in the off-season, I'm all for it!

Long live the soft fixtures and undeserved home and away victories for Carlton!

Are you that dumb?

He wasn’t coming off his 3rd ACL coming into the year, hence the injury. Herp de derp.

Love it how 32yo is suddenly a bad thing now. Aren’t there 7 32yo or older in your ‘top 15’ for the pies?
We're talking about going into next year.

2 (knee reco's) plus 1 (knee reco) = 3 (knee reco's).

Point out the 30 plus year olds on Collingwood's list with similar injury history?
