Pies had less wins than Carlton this season, yet you continue to sell to all and sundry that they are already contending in 2025There's been plenty of it, not our fault you either choose to ignore it or don't understand it.
But Carlton have peaked beautifully. Three consecutive seasons of 12, 13 and 13 wins to 'contend' for a top 8 position, without getting anywhere near premiership contention.
Now they've taken a step back to plan for the medium term, at a time when their top 6 players (a top 6 that Carlton rely on more than any other club in the competition) are in the prime of their careers.
Magnificently played, Carlton - you never fail to disappoint.
Recruit Fantasia, keep him, shove Owies out the door after a career best seasonAnd wasn't it magnificent!
They really do not get this list management thing, do they?
. Bloos are always good for a laugh.

Don't mention Mexican food some might find it offensive ( apart from Lachie Schitz )This has been fun, plenty of delusional material to look back on for next year
Hope the pie supporters enjoy the rest of what's left of the tacos, don't eat too much though, harder to try and tunnel under that new wall
Incorrect, as usual.Pies had less wins than Carlton this season, yet you continue to sell to all and sundry that they are already contending in 2025
This is truly sick burn guys. I’ve given up eating nachos and tacos and refuse to drink tequila now. And I just chucked my sombrero in the wheelie binDon't mention Mexican food some might find it offensive ( apart from Lachie Schitz )
Especially coming from Carlton supporters, whose median ladder position since the turn of the century is 13th - which is more like Bolivia than Mexico. This is truly sick burn guys.

Not sure why anyone would be bothered with the use of these terms...Not to mention 'POD'
It's just funny, "two of these" and "one of those", sounds like you're baking a cake [emoji512]Not sure why anyone would be bothered with the use of these terms...
Pretty straight forward I would have thought, give Essendon two extra gimme wins and they make finals...they dont need to beat Carlton, just North and Richmond.
It doesn't mean Essendon are a better team.
Penny might drop at some point, probably around the time you realise Carlton haven't had a 21st century top4 finish.
For someone who has been right every single year, I must take my hat off to him. I mean , how did he tip collingwood to finish 17th in 2021 ? He must have cleaned up financially on that one ( hate to be turning away from 2025 but when one references the past, it's hard not to go back to refer at times)
Could it be the cake they've been cooking up since 2011?It's just funny, "two of these" and "one of those", sounds like you're baking a cake [emoji512]
You have trouble reading? Brother stay in your lane.So after 41 pages we now know that Blues fans think Carlton will be better and Collingwood fans think it will be Pies on top. Whoever would have thought?!
Disclaimer: I didn't read every page , just extrapolated from the first and last 4. Keep having at it though guys, sure it will be equally enlightening.
Waaaay too sensible for this threadI think Carltons list has better top end talent. Naicos aside Carlton has more star power. Pies probably better depth across the 22 and a smarter coach with a more cohesive game plan.
Line by line each has their strengths. I'd rate the backlines similar. Carltons has better inside mids. Pies better outside mids. Pies much better small/medium forwards. Carlton much better talls. TDK more talented then Cameron in the ruck but yet to put a season together.
Big questions for me is can Carlton keep close to their best 22 on the park and how much do the Pies veterans regress?
For me that will go along way in determining who finishes higher next year. I think it could either way.
Beyond 2025 though I would prefer Carltons list just due to the age demographic issue.
Enlightening post.So after 41 pages we now know that Blues fans think Carlton will be better and Collingwood fans think it will be Pies on top. Whoever would have thought?!
