Uhhhh old mate Fadgey refused to give us any sort of criteria to go off. He just said matchwinning performances by Cripps lmao.
Most people don't need to be provided the actual definition of match winner to understand it's meaning.

Here is a definition.

match-winner
noun
1. a player who wins a sports match for his or her team, for example by scoring a goal Saturday's match-winner Gavin Henson will now take over the kicking duties full-time after his penalty nicked the game.
2. a goal, point, etc that wins a sports match

It isn't just being BOG, and the team winning (hint is given in the name itself) winning is a key part of being a match winner.
A completely ambiguous term that is open to individual interpretation and opinion...
It really isn't

But of course Bagger fans think you can be a match winner when your team loses 🤣🤣

Not my fault Fudger wasn't more specific.
He shouldn't need to be, majority of sports fans all understand terms like match winner - clutch - winning time all revert to game context when it is close and special players step up and perform when under the intense pressure.

Then there is Crippa, having a big game in a 10 goal win against a spoon team.

Right... So a player wins a sports match for his or her team... Anything about what time of the game they needed to do so or how much/little they had to win by to fall under that definition?

Hence why it's an ambiguous term.

I also notice you left out the part about stats... Coincidence? Or you just don't have a reasonable explanation as to why you and peanuts like Fudgey choose to ignore factual information when it goes against your views?

Listen, if you honestly think Cripps can be considered a 'matchwinner' when playing for a mid table side in Carlton in 2023/24, who would be considered heavy favourites against the likes of West Coast 2024, Richmond 2024 or North 2023/24 - by having 35 possessions in a 10 to 15 goal win against these teams - it says a lot more about your lack of understanding of basic sporting terminology than it does anyone else's beliefs as to what constitutes a matchwinner, and what doesn't...

Haven't you been telling us how embarrassing it was that we went into this game as underdogs? Make up your mind Fudger!

"There is no way St Kilda will let Cripps do what he did last week against West Coast and single handedly keep Carltons season alive"

Sounds like a match winning performance from that description if you ask me.

Of course it does, 'if you ask you'.

Because you have some warped low bar belief of what constitutes a 'matchwinning performance'...

But yet another example of the types of games you're nominating for Cripps being a 'matchwinner'. Still waiting for the top 3...

A reminder, Pies nuffies are currently trying to tell us that a 2 time Brownlow Medallist isn't a "matchwinner" while also trying to tell us that we're the ones who are nuts

Cracking Up Lol GIF

Except Cripps/Carlton failed to kill the giant that was St Kilda the following week, which would have secured their 2024 finals position (instead of having to rely on Port beating Freo in a later game)...
... and another 3 votes for Crippa, yet again demonstrating that he's not a match-winner

Does anyone remember guys like Corey McKernan and Dustin Martin being BOG in a loss?

Read what u just wrote again and give yourself an uppercut 😂😂😂😂😂😂

2 time Brownlow winner not a match winner. U Kent's must have been lobotomized.
A 'matchwinner'.... who doesn't win big matches....

Biggest and most important three matches in which Cripps has been a matchwinner? Please do share...

I can't recall even one significant moment in his cellar-dwelling, off-Broadway career

You obviously didn't watch his epic performance against 8th placed Adelaide when playing for 16th placed Carlton, in Melbourne, in round 19 of 2019....

You can read all about it over the last few pages of this thread - a Superman Cape was mentioned...

They'll surely be talking about that performance for decades to come!

You always state match-winning performances.
You havent said against who, what part of the season, or where his team is placed.

You just shift the goalposts no matter what anyone says.

Huh?

Have you missed the 13 specific posts where I have shared details of Collingwood's opponent, round, etc. when Daicos thrilled us all with his matchwinning performances?

I have excluded any dead rubbers, of which there are only a handful, given Collingwood have been in the finals mix for the entirety of Daicos' career.

Anyway, have you finished your top 30 for a combined Carlton/Collingwood squad yet?

Just wondering how Nickys performances all get marked up depending on the opponent but Crippa's 38 & 4 game vs Brisbane, who finished 2nd on the ladder that year is marked below Nicky' 40 & 3 against a bottom 4 team...

You remind me of a red-cordial riddled ADHD kid, just skipping between points you think you're making but actually make no sense and are just based on your feelings.
