Ahhh Durdin. It's been two years since I called him Jack Lonie 2.0Don't you love how they think we can't improve without Owies, while the real small forwards in Motlop and Durdin have 12 years left in them.
The same level as Shultz who cost a 1st and 2nd.Ahhh Durdin. It's been two years since I called him Jack Lonie 2.0
With a strong pre-season and some injuries to other Carlton forwards, he might get back to Lonie's level in 2025
Swings and roundabouts. The same level as Shultz who cost a 1st and 2nd.

Who's talking about Bobby Hill? Did you not pay a 1st and future 2nd for Shultz or not?Swings and roundabouts.
Bobby Hill cost us circa pick 40 in the 2023 draft.
So Schultz and Hill for 2023 picks 34 and ~40, and 2024 pick 10.
Not bad for what we're going to get from them for the next 6 years, with one of them already having a Norm Smith Medal under his belt.
Carlton paid very similar for Cerra. They're both as close or far away from being elite in their positions as each otherWho's talking about Bobby Hill? Did you not pay a 1st and future 2nd for Shultz or not?
And I made a point that with trading and drafting, you win some and you lose some, by referencing his fellow small forward in Collingwood's forward line.Who's talking about Bobby Hill? Did you not pay a 1st and future 2nd for Shultz or not?
Eh not really. Cerra was injured this year but was leading our best and fairest up until he got injured with a handful of rounds to go in 2023.Carlton paid very similar for Cerra. They're both as close or far away from being elite in their positions as each other
Cerra has played some great footy for Carlton, are we going to venture into talking shit now?Carlton paid very similar for Cerra. They're both as close or far away from being elite in their positions as each other
We’ll you guys know shit players better than anyone so I guess we’ll just have to live with our shit small forward and hope he kicks 90 goals next year to please the simpletons that think that’s the only measurement of a playerEh not really. Cerra was injured this year but was leading our best and fairest up until he got injured with a handful of rounds to go in 2023.
Schulz was just shit (and always was shit).
The point above is accurate though, Pies got Bobby Hill for a steal and it has definitely offset overpaying for Schulz. But that was still a terrible trade. Cerra, while not being a hit out of the park, has not been anywhere near as bad as Schulz' trade.
What the **** have you been doing previously then?Cerra has played some great footy for Carlton, are we going to venture into talking shit now?
nasty way to reference your fellow dirty birders innit? just read the wisdome posted by yoru resident abacus about goals scored and any other made up piece of fooleryWe’ll you guys know shit players better than anyone so I guess we’ll just have to live with our shit small forward and hope he kicks 90 goals next year to please the simpletons that think that’s the only measurement of a player
batting the shyte back in between s******s of contempt ?- just a guessWhat the **** have you been doing previously then?
Maybe we give Schultz more than a single year before we form a conclusion on the success or otherwise of the trade.Eh not really. Cerra was injured this year but was leading our best and fairest up until he got injured with a handful of rounds to go in 2023.
Schulz was just shit (and always was shit).

I already said no one mentioned Hill, you still paid a 1st and future 2nd for Shultz, try and stay with the conversation. And I made a point that with trading and drafting, you win some and you lose some, by referencing his fellow small forward in Collingwood's forward line.
Did Hill only cost us circa pick 40, and is that good value for a Norm Smith Medallist?
Again, that coaches award is for schmuks who don't win anything. It's generally reserved for the fat kid in junior football.Maybe we give Schultz more than a single year before we form a conclusion on the success or otherwise of the trade.
But I do find it ironic that Carlton posters are supporting the Owies trade due to his lack of forward pressure, but downplaying Schultz despite his being recognised by his coaches as the player who applied the best defensive pressure of anyone in his team...
You want us to go easy on Shultz? Will you afford the same courtesy to Durdin and Motlop who are 5 years younger than ShultzMaybe we give Schultz more than a single year before we form a conclusion on the success or otherwise of the trade.

I'll admit that I'm an expert at talking shit but he was serious the poor soul. What the **** have you been doing previously then?
Not sure the term 'go easy' was used. You want us to go easy on Shultz? Will you afford the same courtesy to Durdin and Motlop who are 5 years younger than Shultz
Well it really does depend on whether you think forward line pressure is important, or not.Again, that coaches award is for schmuks who don't win anything. It's generally reserved for the fat kid in junior football.
They got rid of 33-goal Owies because he DOESN'T do what Schultz does [emoji38]We’ll you guys know shit players better than anyone so I guess we’ll just have to live with our shit small forward and hope he kicks 90 goals next year to please the simpletons that think that’s the only measurement of a player
Pretty much all you've got son [emoji38]Cerra has played some great footy for Carlton, are we going to venture into talking shit now?
You can only call them as you see them and if he improves I'll call that as well. Not sure the term 'go easy' was used.
The question was asked whether we overpaid for him, and I said I wouldn't be forming a conclusion on that after only his first year at the club.
Some of you want to grow a pair, if you dish it out be grown up enough to receive it.
Cerra led the B&F whilst Carlton were in the bottom 6 for much of 2023. Gets injured and bada bing, bada boom, the Blues were soaring. I'd have cashed in on him instead of Kennedy.Eh not really. Cerra was injured this year but was leading our best and fairest up until he got injured with a handful of rounds to go in 2023.
