So much anger 🤣
How so? 2022 Hawthorn beat Geelong on Easter Monday, Hawthorn went on to finish the year 13th while Geelong won the actual grand final by 81 points on the back of a 16 game winning streak.

This guy. When have I or any hawks poster brought up 2022? Your anger of the 2025 season is showing. Maybe head back to the Geelong Richmond thread and post more pictures of spoons and settle down 😂

Geelong wins on Easter Monday
You have an unofficial deathride on the hawks. I like it. You've been pushing a whole bunch of narratives that haven't come to fruition yet. It's a long season. Let's see where this all goes.

We're talking about Easter Monday being Geelong's GF when we've been playing off in actual GFs while your mob has been occupying the arse-end of the ladder. Where's all this talk of 'anger' coming from? You're not projecting again, are you?

Since Easter Monday games became a thing in 2010, excluding 2011 when both teams had a bye the following week and 2020 where there were was no game, Hawthorn have won 7 of their games following the Easter Monday clash and Geelong 6 games. Hardly a discrepancy especially when you consider the EM fixture came around after Geelong's and prior to Hawthorn's best performances.

What evidence do we have to suggest Geelong take the fixture more seriously than Hawthorn? Both teams seem to put on a good performance more often than not.

Richmond 2022 premiers without boy's club intervention.

I'm a bit surprised how aggressive Geelong has been in rebuilding these first few weeks.

Despite moving on a lot of players last year and missing a number with injury we've chosen to leave Stanley and Duncan in the VFL and not rushed Mannagh back when he definitely could've played this week.

On the weekend we had 7 players under 25 games. Only 3 players over 150 games. That's unbelievably inexperienced for a team the media were talking about as premiership contenders. We either need to get back some experienced players or see rapid improvement from the kids to be any chance.

On the other hand Hawthorn look settled and ready to contend.

I love when little Geelong try to enter these conversations with clubs like Richmond and Hawthorn. It's cute they try to swing up.

But anyway, 2 losses on the trot while Hawthorn are in scary form. To no surprise, the answer is Hawthorn.
