Who will be better in 2026? Essendon or Richmond.

Two big 4 clubs who look to have a long season ahead of them in 2026 as they focus on rebuilding and developing youth it's about the future and selling hope to their members. I think Richmond will be better given their list is more mature and experienced than Essendon's list it's allowed Richmond to be more competitive than Essendon so far this year although it's still March and a long season so things could change, look at Hawthorn in 2024 they started the season as bad as Essendon have started 2026 and look how that turned out they ended up getting within one kick of a preliminary final. I'm not saying Essendon will have a season as good as Hawthorn did in 2024 but there is still hope for the present it doesn't all have to be about rebuilding and hoping to become a good team in 5 years time. Who do you think will be better in 2026?
