Your coach doesn't rate one of your players performance, therefore you win the flag?

I'm not seeing the causal relationship here...
No relationship.
Just saying the award is pretty useless in its current format (given that some teams play more finals than others).

Well the fact that Callan ward is 3rd after 2 losing finals kinda tells you its useless.

Also says Richmond are a 2 man team.
Yep.

Rance is only the AA captain...So he clearly contributes nothing.

Jack has 52 goals (as many as Walker, 2 less than Betts), so he's done nothing all year.

People talking all the time about the pressure from Rioli, Castagna and Butler know nothing...they provide nothing to the team.

Astbury, Grimes and Vlastuin...all useless...I'd say they're just riding on Rance's coattails, but as we've established, Rance doesn't do anything either.

Then there is the midfield....Useless to a man, how we ever get the ball is a mystery to everyone.

Yep, just 2 men in the team do anything worthwhile.

Mind you, if those 2 can get us into the GF, imagine what would happen if we ever recruited anyone else who could actually play....Absolutely phenomenal upside!

Yeah, I reckon Callan is shithouse too mate:

C Ward - 32 d and 1 goal.
C Ward - 28 d and 1 goal.
C Ward - 25 d and 3 goals.

Your logic is that if your team loses and you should get 0 votes? There is one sad supporter that ruins it for all supporters.

Logic is he had 3 games to score votes.
What a joke it would be if Mr September managed to come from a team that didnt even make the GF.

Wont happen this year
Well no, its impossible. In fact its almost impossible for a crows player to win it either.
I think B Crouch is the only one that can possibly win it from memory?

Given that Dusty is an absolute machine, even if Richmond lose, I reckon he'll get votes.

Thought Cotchin has been more instrumental than Martin so far in finals. Surprised he's polled 8 and 7 whilst Martin has collected 9 and 8.

Depends if you vote for the tone setter or the finisher.

They've been the guys for Richmond. Hardly a surprise though.

Adelaide are far more even across the park it's so hard to pick where the game breaker will come from. Sloane's always going to be causing chaos and around the ball. Cameron and Laird last week. Still feel my original tip of Atkins could do it. Nice to see Brad Crouch break out, have been impressed by the way he's started to burst from contests and use the ball. Matt Crouch is underrated in many aspects but he doesn't really tear games apart, Brad can do that a bit.

one eyed and having a sook, should barrack for geee-long
One-eyed?
Fans of the 17 other teams have all said it was minimum fine which resulted in suspension.
The AFL changed the rules for the grand final. Not sooking, just stating facts.

If he hadnt had the previous 2 charges, I would agree that he's free to play, but the rules have been bent to allow Richmond half a chance on Saturday.

Must say as a crows fan I was surprised how well Atkins polled at the Brownlow.
He's been a bit of a whipping boy at times this year.

Show me where the AFL "changed the actual rule" just for Cotchin.
The fact that all year that is worthy of a fine (or suspension) and suddenly now it isnt.
Wouldnt expect you to look at it objectively, but many others have and most came to the conclusion that he was very lucky and that the AFL had essentially given him a free pass.

"The contact was forceful, high and illegal" to use the words of Gerard Whately

Anyhow I'm glad he's playing for the spectacle, and the lack of excuses if we do end up winning.
