Well tell me something I don't know since you appear to have the cyrstal ball.

I am bemused by your Pendles comment. He has been incredibly durable and I for one would have no trouble parking him in forward line if it w
Pendles just needs to have a good rest and get over his niggles.

It doesn't work like that. Players lose form and get injured later in their career. No way he's going on another 4 years. We haven't had a player go past about 32 in 10 years? Players retire even earlier these days and I expect them to retire even earlier in a few more years .

And you are the perennial pessimistic

Those wanting to delist Thomas - why? IMO he's a best 25 prospect. If he wants to return (and he's not completely out of shape) we should persist for at least a year.
He'll remain cheap, so no issues here

I'm hoping Keefe comes good, but I'm doubtful.
He has height in his favour.
He has a skinny type of frame, should be easier to have stayed fit. I assume that's right.
He's height is a natural advantage.
Trust he comes back fit enough, does a huge pre season and who knows what he gives us.
After Reid (easily best of the big backs) and Brown you'd think Keefe, Frost offer solid back up types.
Can see Keefe passing Brown even. But that's up to him ofcourse.
Marsh can play a medium to tall type.

Pendlebury has two years left calling it now.
Not sure, he has never been that quick so can't drop off too much there, injuries aside I think he has the capacity to keep going 4-5 years. May have a change in role, more time forward???

Alan Toovey 29
Brent MaCaffer 28
We'll see. If you think he'll just keep playing on past 31 32 you've been living in some fantasy land.
Always the voice of reason, TG, if only a few more people on this board had a grip on reality as firm as the one you have!!!

In 2014 you wouldn't say Swan will be gone at the 2016. That's footy.
On the contrary it was a common discussion point. His form had dropped and there was speculation he would pull the pin. I sat with him at a club breakfast in 2014 , thanks to the BF player sponsorship, and asked that very question myself.

Out of Contract (14)
White
, Blair, Witts, Brown, Keeffe, Thomas, Williams, Goodyear, Broomhead, Smith, Golds, Gault, Frost, Wyatt

Out of those 14, I would honestly only keep 6 (bolded) although I think Williams might be off West.
Broomy, Witts, Blair may return us something on a trade... The rest are not good enough.

Would be worth trying to get a few 2nd rounders out of this to lock in our father sons.[/QUOTE]
