Its pretty fair to say that Cousins has it wrapped up. But who has the silver and the bronze?? Gardy would be amongst the leaders for second but it could be wide open. After Cousins i cant think of one player who has played consistently all year.

Dark horse could be Collica.

The Voice of Reason respectfully suggests that in this injury-riddled and interrupted season for many of our players:

Gold: Ben Cousins (no brainer)
Silver: Michael Gardiner (only injury will stop him from running Ben very close)
Bronze: David Wirrpunda (quite brilliant and has played a lot, even when injured)

Honourable mentions:
Michael Collica (played every game, consistently reliable)
Daniel Kerr (Rookie of the Year)
Glen Jakovich (played every game, historically polls well)
Richard Taylor (always a trier, even when we're not going well)

I dont think anyone will push Cousins close. He should run away with it by a street and a half. Dont know about Wirrpunda, maybe Kerr, i forgot about him. He may not poll well though given his youth.

Silver: Gardiner(Simply because he has played lots of games consistently)
Bronze: Kerr(Youth shouldn't exclude him from the voting)

Yep, same thoughts here.

I'd like to see Kerr get the Rising Star Award, but unfortunately I don't think he will.

Interesting subject and not easy because injuries have taken taken their toll on votes.

Cuzz is easily No1 but Gardy and Kerr are probably joint second. Wirra could make a late dash for the silver medal. Roo had some good games early on. Collica will poll well. Jones maybe.

I think the remainder of the season will sort out the minor places.

1. Cousins
2. Kerr
3. Collica/Taylor

For me, Gardiner hasn't had the greatest year but 2nd and 3rd place will still be decided in the following weeks.
