A lot depends on what draft picks and deals each of the clubs can get and also injuries next season; but at this stage I'll tip Sydney to finish highest of those 3.

sydney will, and if we obtain the services and screw collingwood over at the same time, by giving them either not much or absolutely nothing and get nick davis then thatl be a bonus which i reckon could get the swannies in the top 8
roos, tough years ahead
dogs, still rebuilding

Dogs clearly first, toss up between the other two.

Clearly?

How in god's name does that work?

The following had average years IMO

King
Grant
Pickett
Porter

Harvey was good in patches, but ordinary sometimes.

The current improvement of Morell, Teague, Harding, Baird, Petrie, Makepeace, Sinclair. And the emergence and sufficient game time to Smith, Harris, Hale, Crowe, Daniel and Shannon Motlop, Pratt, Watson, the trade for Carey, and subsequent players and picks we can impove significantly.

Archer, Stevens, Rocca, Colbert, Simpson, Burton etc etc can play a bit also.

Lots of people are going to be disapointed if they think we will roll over and put up the "We are rebuilding" cop out sign.

A lottery. 3 new coaches. I'll go Dogs because they have a few of the more exciting players in the comp in Darcy, Johnson, Brown plus the inspiration of Grant and young future stars like Murphy and Gianciracusa. I did tip the Roos for the top 8 in 2002 though when most thought they would fail dismally.

Doggies for me they have a good bunch of youngsters ready to make their mark & Grant & West must have a better year than 02 as well as a new coach who just might freshen up the team with a new style of play, 6-8 in 03

Roos, would love to see them make the 8 but don't think so, 10-12

Swans, about the same as the Roos, 10-12

I think the Dogs (not that Im biased :))

I think our list is better than North's and Sydney's. Our very top players are amongst the leagues finest and our young players will give us miles more than Norths and the Swannies will.

I think although we're rebuilding we underachieved last year. Darcy, Brown, Johnson, Smith and West had stellar years and our young players were good, but we still finished 12th.

I think our middle range players let us down, but next year the young players who were on the fringe like Gilbee, Birss, McMahon and Power should step up and be pretty good players like Alvey did this year. If that happens and we don't **** games away like we did the first half of last season we should do alright

Your list is not better than ours. Our very best is better, our middle range is better, and your younger players have a better profile because they had the opportunity to play footy, stay on the ground, and were fighting for spots with Eagleton, Bartlet, Dimmattina, Hunter etc etc.

We finished much higher, and we will again.

The reason our young guys got more game time then yours is because they are better, they may have been battling for spots with guys you don't rate but lets not forget the North young guys were battling with players like Cochrane and Clayton, its a 2 way street. Give me Smurf, Guido, Jordo etc ahead of Teague, Digby and Harding any day of the week.
The reason you finished ahead of us is because we started poorly before then playing as well as North for the rest of the year. And I must admit North while IMO are not as talented as us, are much harder at the ball then us and are generally more physically developed and bigger
