I'm going to go with Roarke Smith. Easton Wood will likely miss the early rounds as he recovers from major ankle surgery, and Roarke is the next in line to take that mid-sized defender role - he was first emergency in the GF. He will also have an uninterrupted pre-season, which he wasn't able to enjoy following his knee reco late in 2015.

depends on what you think a breakout player is. I would have thought it was someone who not yet geting a regular gig who could takes the next step to actually doing that.

So i think there is a couple of players who could be ready to take that step and I like Bailey Dale for my main one, but also Webb and Williams. Plenty to work with for both, loads of upside, and a couple of preseasons into them.

I think McLean has already broken out. He played finals, he played GF, he's a premiership player.

After watching the replay I realised that he played a better game than I'd ever thought he was capable of. Miles ahead of anything he's ever done at AFL level. Hopefully it wasn't a fluke like Tommy Boyd's GF
