I'm new here and I don't think anyone's asked this and want you all to tell me what you think about the Grand Final.

I think anything can happen but I think it might be Carlton v Essendon and I have a feeling if they play each other Essendon might win.

Please tell me who you think will play and win the Grand Final.

CJ

Are you spider e?

Heart says:

Essendon v Melbourne (after the dees beat Carlton this weekend)

Head says:

Essendon v Carlton

Winner: Heart and head say Essendon by 5 goals (as long as we survive injury and suspension - don't think there'll be an attitude problem this year).

I hope that it's either:

Essendon vs Melbourne and that Essendon win by 7 goals. That would shove it up my big sis and my mum who are both Dees supporters.

OR

Essendon vs Carlton and that Essendon win by 7 goals. That would shove it up Carlton once and for all.

Bisbane def Melbourne

now that essendon has been dragged back to the pack, i can see brisbane & essendon playing in the grand final with brisbane winning by 1 to 6 points.
imagine what a crackerjack game that would
be if both teams played to their potential!

No probs CJ

Spider e= Spider Everritt who suggested a few weeks back that Ess won't make the GF.

For those who think Carlton are better than Essendon... please explain?

Why not look for a repeat of this year's H&A results (essendon fans can look away now)

Week 1
Ess d Kang
Carl d Mel
BL d WB
Haw d Geel

Week 2
Mel d BL
Haw d Kang

Week 3
Ess d Mel
Carl d Haw

GF
Ess d Carl

It might outline the respective fortunes of Hawks and Kangaroos. In 1994 Kang defeat Hawks by 20 goals, Hawks show signs of decline and are without 'bookends' Dunstall and Langford. Kangas are on the rise and beat hawks for the first time in 14 outings, Later the same year they meet in the finals and a drawn game is won by the kangas in extra time. Kangas go on to consecutive finals appearances (2 flags), have the wood over Hawthorn while hawthorn go from bad to worse (almost merging).
Forward to 2000 and Hawks destroy kangas by 10 goals, but they are missing Bookends Carey and archer.

Will Hawthorn become a premiership power ?
Will they take the 'wood' back from north ?
Will North decline and be in danger of merging ?
Will they meet in a final this year ?
Will hawthorn now beat

Nearly the best game I can remember, after 14 losses it was great to shove it right up Hawthorn's arse. Did we party that night, Shit yeah.

It may be time to pass the batton, but Hawthorn will have to take it, it wont be given.

Pess, hope you enjoy the finals, just not too much.

I witnessed a 160 point thrashing of another team (they won the flag the next year) and it was just boring

The 1994 final (Kangas v Hawks) at waverley was one of the best, with a Platten-inspired Hawthorn just headed by Carey's Roos

I remember it well Dutchman

Round 21, 1992 Hawthorn - 216, Essendon - 56

Hard to believe we won a premiership 27 matches later. It just goes to show you that all this talk about "era's" is hogwash. Whilst eras happen, it is more a result of good management.

As the last couple of years have shown, clubs can go from being a wooden sppon contended to a prmiership contende withing 12, possibly 24 months.
