With Bock being ruled out for this week will it simply be a case of shifting Ken back there or will trent be given a run in defense?
Personally i would like to see Trent continue to build his confidence as a forward as he has been looking pretty ominous up forward.
Maybe Meesen will be brought into the forward line to release either Ken or Trent to CHB. What do you guys think? Are there any other options that could be toyed with?

Apparently Chad Gibson played a blinder in defence for Norwood last weekend....

I would think that Meeson would get a go before Gibson - but it would be good to see waht Gibson can do at a higher level.

for me it would be sending Kmac back and put Meeson forward

Do you have any more info on Gibson's game?

I heard on the radio the new Norwood coach saying how impressed he was with Gibson. He didn't give specifics but said that while he does have a lot to learn he was very clean down back. His tone was a very big wrap for him.

found this on the SANFL board so make of it what you will

BEST:
Norwood - Bown, Lower, Cox, Gibson, Bailey, Bassett

Some of Norwoods younger players had played well up to half time. Crow listed Chad Gibson played well at Full Back and took 3-4 good marks deep in defence

Gibson - Marked strongly in the first half, played a blinder really before fading in the second half

"fading in the second half." 2 years of OP will do that to you

I had totally forgotten about Gibson, and is one of the few players on the list that feel i know almost nothing about as has played most of his footy in the reserves at Norwood to date. I know there were big hopes for him when we drafted him but havnt heard much about him since. Does anyone know if its the OP that has held him back or is he just not up to scratch?
Worth waiting for him to come good?

From Memory he is still only 18, we picked him up at 17 in the 04 draft ?

But as has already been mentioned 2 yrs of OP haven’t helped, will play some 1st games this year at norwood so hopefully you will be hering a bit morea bout him

Personally I would bring in Meesen and play him as a forward and move Kenny to CHB.

Hentschel can play at CHB (and I think Craig will actually move him back) but I would like to keep him up forward where he has been pretty good.

I do think Meesen and Douglas are just about certainties to come into the side. Just my opinion.

Ken to half back as I'm sure he'll have a few pinch hitting stopping roles back there this year so it would be good for him and the rest of the backline to work together a bit. It depends on matchups though, who will be CHF for Melbourne?

Im assuming Miller if he is fit.

Mattner train- he played on the Buddy boy last week.

We may wish to keep the same structure as last week up forward and Mattner playing CHB may do this, particularly if Hart returns to the team.

How long before bassett returns?

Only what I read on the SANFL board, which has been reproduced here by Dolemite.

For what it's worth, my money would be on McGregor going to CHB and Meesen coming in as the replacement tall forward.

My guess is Hentschel will play back. Craig has already said this year that he likes the way he plays in the back 1/2.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he rotated a few players through the spot. It's still just a glorified trial game.

I wouldn't mess our forward line structure, particularly Trent & Sarge.

IMO, Mattner could play CHB, with Hart taking his BP spot. If we get stretched height-wise then Kenny can go back, with Meesen going forward ... or perhaps consider trying out Gibson.
