I think the Pies really need an youngish coach who can work well with younger players and have time to teach them and have patience with them, something which I don't sense in MM.
MarkT was right, someone like Paul Roos would be an excellent fit with Collingwood, but I don't think he'll leave the Swans, and if the players at Collingwood are already sick of an intense coach like Malthouse, I honestly don't think they would respond well to someone like Mark Williams.
I would probably say out of all the assistants, that Gary O'Donnell is the one that impresses me the most, although I wonder if the Essendon connection would put some folks off down at collingwood.
