I think Carlton will take Gibbs. The thought of having Murphy and Gibbs in their midfield must be mouth watering for Blues supporters.

I have heard very good things about Hansen and Gumby, Hansen is a local boy so let's get him. We need someone who is capable of stopping Hall, Brown etc. We have no CHB so give this kid a couple of years to get him going. Apparently he is almost ready made for AFl.

tell me of a team that was built around a chb, the only true great CHB i re-call is G. Jacovich. you dont need a genuin CHB, Sydney didnt have one last year, Port Adelaide didnt either.

Give me a Match winner at no.2 give me gibbs or gumbleton. hopefully with his apprent injury concerns selwood drops to pick 17 or 18

Interesting how our defence has really struggled ever since Sean Wellman retired, you won't win finals in a shoot-out if you have a poor defence, ours is the worst in the league atm with very little improvement in sight.

Also worth noting our midfield has been top 5-6 in clearences and inside 50's while next season we're supposed to have one of the best looking forward lines going around

I was one who was hoping we would pick Gibbs,i'm now not totally sure and theres good arguments for both cases.
I do think we are looking considerable better in the midfield department and although we have an abundance of talls, the only ones from the young brigade that have played at a AFL level that look capable of holding down a KP defensive role are Lee and possible Bradley(BIG question marke on him in that position though)
IMO we have too many tall forwards.

I have to say Sean Wellman was a far better CHB then Kevin bloody Walsh.
who knows i think Carey was drafted from North Adelaide as a CHB, maybe Hansen is the same, im sure the experts will know best and not make the same mistake as they did with bolton when they could have got luke power???? who would u have now.

I really do believe that by far the most likely outcome is carlton drafts gibbs at #1 pick and then we take hansen. If for some reason gibbs doesn't get chosen then we should take him i believe whether carlton picks someone else or God forbid we get the wooden spoon somehow. Anyway the last few drafts the pattern seems to be 1st pick key position player then 2nd midfielder. It seems to have been working fairly well 2 given we have picked up stanton, monfries and dempsey with our 2nd picks although ironically the jury is still out as to whether our 1st round picks in bradley, laycock, ryder will really pay off.
