1. Sky Heights - The wide barrier will help him avoid getting run into the fence. Also with Oliver on board, how can you look past him. Super impressive in the Caulfield Cup

2. Maythehorsebewithu - Loves Flemington and if the rain comes is a special on a track with a bit of sting out the ground. Very impressive last Saturday after failing at Geelong??? (go figure)

3. Rain Guage - Very impressive the other week and looks to be primed for this week, will not surprise if he gets up.

Longshot

Karasi - Bred to stay and defeated Maythehorsebewithu at its last start. Could be a good each way bet.

Crowd Favourite

Yippyio - While not the longest in the race is a proven two miler who ran second last year, would be a great story if he could win after almost dying a couple of years ago.

Others

Ethereal - Love the colours and pattern on the jockey, but don't know if she is the class of a Lets Elope who did the double. In the middle of the track and may get buffetted around a bit and distance is a worry.

Universal Prince - never been convinced and don't expect him to run.

Persian Punch - Too old, perhaps

Big Pat - Hasn't really impressed me personally, although his recent form has been good, just a horse that doesn't get noticed much, maybe a good thing for it.

1. BIG PAT (Impressed in the Moonee Valley Cup.)

2. Maythehorsebewithyou (great run on Saturday)

3. Karasi (has been placed in 3 starts over 3200m)

Ethereal will not get the distance.
Sky Heights drawn to wide for my liking.
Universal Prince. Never been a big fan and has a pathetic jockey on board.
Kaapstad Way has the potential but never seems to win and is not racing well. It has NEVER won a group race.
Yippyio and Freemason have drawn to wide. Same with Rain Gauge.

Rum from the number 1 barrier has a good show. Looks like it will get the distance no problems.

Yippyio is my early tip.

Maythehorsebewithyou was very impressive yesterday, and is only carrying 50kg and should provide excellent each way value, only worry is if it can cover the distance
Walshy what is your tip for the trifecta though, I am depending on you to come through for me & again this year. ;)

My tips are follows.

1. maythehorsebewithu
2. Yippiyo
3. Universal Prince

I wouldnt' be surprised if Yippiyo gets up to win, but i'm sticking with maythehorsebewithu. Its a good name for a horse aswell. I had to put Universal Prince in there, its a local.

It stands no chance mate...I feel sorry for you. Universal Prince will beat it and its under an injury cloud.

In the sweep I got Curata Storm (x2), Mr Prudent, Sky Heights, Spirit of Westbury and Yippyio (x2).

I have NO idea. Do I have a chance?

Melb cup

Go Skyheights

I think that Skyheights will win it. Ethereal is the favourite, but the favourite NEVER wins. Rain Gauge and Big Pat also a good chance. However Skyheights has the best Jockey going around at the moment. Damian Oliver.

The sky is the limit.
