Warriors, Spurs, maybe OKC third or the Clippers if they ever pull themselves together. The rest make up the numbers.

Absolutely no chance the clippers beat two of those teams, which they'll have to do to win the west. Three good players (one of whom can't hit a ft to save his life) does not a team make.

Shame, cos there is obviously talent there. But its never going to happen.

GS to beat OKC for me, then beat whoever makes it out of the east comfortably in the finals.

They make the right trade and I can defintely see them being there at the pointy end of the finals, they would of been last season if not for the most epic choke in recent times.
Paul, Griffin and Jordan are legitimate stars, and like it or not they do have a healthy rotation of talented players that are not being used correctly. Redick and Mbah Moute are good role players to spend most of the time with their big three and perform their roles well. Stephenson and Smith if traded could fetch a nice return, and if they pull their fingers out could tip the Clippers into legitimate contender territory should a trade not eventuate.
The problem is they are currently not, you've got four ball dominant players forming the second unit when those two are combined with Crawford and Rivers. Talented undoubtedly but a shocking combination on the court. Pierce is well past it but if he produces anything close to what he did for the Wizards last post season and the Clippers have got what they paid for.
They improve the cluster**** on the bench through a trade or line up change and the Clippers are top in the West and can push the best.
They've lead all three of top seeds in the west in the last quarter in every encounter this season, the Warriors comphrensively twice; writing them off completely is blind hate imo.

That being said the problems outlined have yet to be addressed in any meaningful way, and until they are I'm going to lock in Warriors Spurs as the WCF.
Spurs are crushing teams without barely breaking a sweat, or raising a mention; classic.

Right now on exposed form, no sane person would go against the warriors with all that they are doing however if draymond green's head keeps getting touched you just don't know what might happen.
Also its wrong not to include okc in the conversation as well

Spurs/warriors should be a good matchup. Can't see anyone else coming close unless OKC manage to bring in some better bench players.

Pretty clear pecking order in the West at the moment

Warriors>Spurs>>>OKC>>>>>>>>>>Everyone else.

True - but in a playoff series any of Clips/Houston/Memphis/Dallas could beat any of the above 3. Warriors are clearly a few steps above everyone right now but health/form and matchups will mean everything in the playoffs... Particularly if any of those teams have midseason signings/trades to fix some gaps.

If the playoffs started tomorrow I wouldn't give any of those teams a greater than 5% chance of knocking off the Warriors or Spurs. A bit higher against OKC (hence my rankings). I also don't think the Warriors or Spurs have a bad match up other than against each other (and OKC).

Obviously a long way to go and a lot can happen.

I agree - but I guess im not talking now but rather in a few months.
For example if the Mavs can find a bit of interior D from somewhere & if Parsons & Mathews are healthy and able to get to their previous levels - this team could (IMO) beat anyone... Granted they wont be favourites, but noone will look forward to facing the Mavs - and that could apply to all 7 of those teams.

I personally don't really rate Dallas, but they are proving me wrong so far this season.

The west .....Wow

Things turned quickly ......Spurs win by thirty then OKC say no thanks

1-1 ....I'm liking the OKC right now ....if they go 3-1 with two home games to come ....Spurs are finished

Gsw ...crushing to 73 wins ...Steph gets injured ....they are vulnerable without Steph

Right now Portland 9 up at the half v Gsw at Oakland ...if Portland win .....Gsw Warriors are vulnerable

East

Cavs ....nothing to se here folks ....move along please

Game 7

Wow what a series

I feel Gsw will be too tough at the oracle arena on Tuesday but do think OKC have a great chance also

Westbrook had been unbelievable and he is the key to winning

He can kill you so many ways and I feel Gsw don't defend him very well
