Warriors, Spurs, maybe OKC third or the Clippers if they ever pull themselves together. The rest make up the numbers.
They make the right trade and I can defintely see them being there at the pointy end of the finals, they would of been last season if not for the most epic choke in recent times.Absolutely no chance the clippers beat two of those teams, which they'll have to do to win the west. Three good players (one of whom can't hit a ft to save his life) does not a team make.
Shame, cos there is obviously talent there. But its never going to happen.
GS to beat OKC for me, then beat whoever makes it out of the east comfortably in the finals.
Pretty clear pecking order in the West at the moment
Warriors>Spurs>>>OKC>>>>>>>>>>Everyone else.
True - but in a playoff series any of Clips/Houston/Memphis/Dallas could beat any of the above 3. Warriors are clearly a few steps above everyone right now but health/form and matchups will mean everything in the playoffs... Particularly if any of those teams have midseason signings/trades to fix some gaps.
If the playoffs started tomorrow I wouldn't give any of those teams a greater than 5% chance of knocking off the Warriors or Spurs. A bit higher against OKC (hence my rankings). I also don't think the Warriors or Spurs have a bad match up other than against each other (and OKC).
Obviously a long way to go and a lot can happen.
I agree - but I guess im not talking now but rather in a few months.
For example if the Mavs can find a bit of interior D from somewhere & if Parsons & Mathews are healthy and able to get to their previous levels - this team could (IMO) beat anyone... Granted they wont be favourites, but noone will look forward to facing the Mavs - and that could apply to all 7 of those teams.
