I care, because it is an episode of football history that could have possibly determined the premiership team.

I think the Saints would have won.
I don't care about who the hypothetical winner may have been, however I do find the idea of not contemplating that rotten bloody nightmare to be quite comforting.
Actually over a couple of year period we had some great battles with the doggies. I reckon this might have been another good stoush.

As much as the 1998 GF sticks in my mind, I have to agree with The Viking - hypotheticals to change the past are a load of crap.

LOL Good call STL, Saints didn't choke anyway, they didn't squander a 4 goal lead, or kick 11 points in a quarter, they were just beaten by the better side, no shame there.

Gee it's funny but we played them earlier that year in about round 15 and beat them again there. Any other day apart from those two days and the Saints would have won right??

You mightve beaten them during the season but I still think that if Adelaide played Stkilda in an Elimination or Semi final Stkilda wouldve got the points.
