Who would you take at #1?

depends on the club's needs. For Essendon we need a midfielder before a ruckman as we have Hille, Ryder and Bellchambers as rucks. So from that I'd take Rich.

Hawthorn dont have a star ruckman and heaps of inside midfielders.

Both ive seen play, ild take Rich however, every time.

TBH I think that a ruckman that is competent enough can be found pretty easily, Natanui could be something amazing but I think that the ruckmans position is something that can be filled easily.

Rich is going to be one of those middies that you can build a team around, and for Essendon, Melbourne or Freo will be a perfect player, he is going to be a dime a dozen player that is way harder to find than a ruckman.

Essendon need a ruckman IMO. After David Hille we have Laycock who isn't the best back-up ruckman going around. I would rather have Ryder be playing permanently in the back-line instead of in the ruck and Bellchambers needs more time before anyone can judge him. I would have to go with Natanui

Thats a bit harsh, Kreuzer will be a star, just give him 3 or 4 years

you kiddin me? terrible example, know what ur saying. Kepler Bradley would be a better example but then again we would have taken tennace if we didnt take bradley. Bradley was taken too high simply because of his versailty. With youngsters i think you take the greatest talent, which is always very subjective anyway. I think coaches should be able to see attributes in their players that lend them to other positions.

Re the Bradley draft. On the face of it, it seems essendon stufed up with Bradley but after Bradley there was Tenace and not much else. With the exception of Stanton none of these players has made any real impact at AFL level.
