If you could freely choose any opposition player for our team that you think would make a difference to our fortunes this year, who would it be?

My pick would be David Neitz.

There's heaps of guys
Steven King - different sort of ruck to Darcy
Adam Goodes
Micky O'Laughlin
Whitnall
One of 100kg West coast young talls, why do we have the 70kg ones?
McCleod
Matthew Scarlett
Tarrant
Soloman
Didak
Presti - if Harris and Bassett don't work out

Settle for any of these plus others mentioned already. Its all hypothetical I suppose.
More waiting for a years more experience and muscle of most of our current players and a few talls to step up.

You're right. Dimma was never that good.
Disagree Local, Dimma was an important player in the late 90's and part of a feared and effective midfield.
Kretiuk was at his peak in the 90's as well before chronic injuries have interrupted his career.
Both great clubmen and no longer in my best 18.

As for Sporty, One thing I enjoy about this Forum are the differing views, casual banter and the wealth of knowledge and opinions. I agree with most but not all and respect the views I do not agree with. ****er? I don't know about that.
I will make sure I do not reply directly to you personally from now on, you sound a bit too emotional for my liking.

No so sure yet, No one offer Kritter hardness yet apart from Hahn. Dimma will play his part this year as well, maybe not weekly but should play 10+ games. He kills them at VFL level.

i reckon a strong, big forward to add a bit of stablitly to the forward line (which i noticed at the geelong game isn't working as well as it could be) probably Neitz or one of the big brisbane boys.

I agree they will both play a big role in the seniors but the team needs to evolve this year. We need as many fresh faces in the seniors, if they are good enough, as we can find. The only way we will climb the ladder is if Harris, Gilbee, Hargrave, Birss etc. step up.
The improvement will not come from Croft Garlick Kretiuk it has to come from the younger guys, Rohde says it every time he is interviewed.

SCRAY72 - i would just like to say lighten up dude. The ****er was wa**er, not f***er, and i was just having a light hearted joke with you after your remark about Dimma.

If you continue with not being able to take a joke, than what i originally posted will hold true, for as for this moment, it was a joke, please do not take it serious :)

Scray72, you've been around long enough to realise Sporty defends Dimma with all his might every single time.

We all also know he's not serious. He knows as well as anyone Dimma is finished and will only get a game this year if the young guys don't come on or we get a heap of injuries.

And if after Geelong you can't see a place for Dimattina in the side you've obviously got your head somewhere it shouldn't be.

Is it a coincidence that in the last two games, Dimma has played and we have won? I think not.

Dimma finished? Hardly. He brings a toughness through the mid field that only one or two others can.

I know you're taking the ****, because you couldn't possible be serious :)

I read the first line of your reply and thought "hello, I might have got him".
