Essendon
An area that we have plenty of depth in is tall forwards. If it came down to it who would you rather Essendon keeps Bradley or Johns? I realise Johns is contracted for next year still, so this is largely hypothetical, but I think it woudl be interesting to gauge otehr supporters feelings on the subject.

Personally I think its a very tough choice.

Senoirs form: Johns has had less opportunity and much more injuries than Kepler has, but Kepler has been played out of position when in the senoir team. When played as a forward Kepler kicked 4 while John's best is 3.

Style: Each would provide a different style of forward with Johns being able to break packs and use his strength while Kepler has more endurance and probably more scope to be played as a roaming CHF/HFF, or even on a wing. Johns may also have an advantage if people consider him a possibility to also play down back.

VFL form: Kepler has been very impressive recently playing as the main forward target for Bendigo. Only worry is his accuracy for kicking (as evidenced by his 0.3 on the weekend). Johns showed very promising early form, and has since been played as a backmen so hasn't been able to kick bags of goals. Personally I'd have Kepler ahead in this area.

Main weakness: For Johns this is clearly his agility and engine, and as a result he hasn't been impressive with his second efforts in contests. For Bradley it would be his disposal, particualrly when under pressure. I guess it is subjective as to which you consider to be more detrimental.

Potential for improvement: Johns must still ahve a lot of potential for improvement. He has only played senoir games and has suffered massive injuries which have destablised his pre-seasons. Kepler hasn't been given a chance in senoirs as a forward yet and has shown promise in VFL. Was also a top 10 draft pick and highly rated junoir.

For me it would be Kepler just over Johns as a result of his athletic advantage. Which would you prefer on the Essendon list?

Johns will, if given the chance , definitely be a good A.F.L. player if given consistant games. He is one of the fastest in our team and can take a great contested mark. He has been really trying hard and must get some more games at the top.
