Ah yes well if you're comparing good scrabble hands, Yze is better than Riewoldt, but as for comparing both as footballers, I'd have to say Nick Riewoldt.

Yeah, good comparison this....Yze plays as a running midfielder and is one of the best in the comp, and has the best left foot kick in his arsenal....
While Nick Riewoldt plays at CHF or CHB and is one of the best young players around for a long time.

Two completely different players, so it's very hard to compare them. But if I was starting off a team and had the choice of Yze or Riewoldt, I'd take Riewoldt purely and simply because the CHF/CHB position is one of the hardest spots in the game to fill.
Yze is a terrific player any club would love to have, but I feel unless something goes wrong, history will recall Riewoldt as one of the great players of all time.

Yze is a better player at the moment IMO but only by a very small margin.
Given Riewoldt is in his first year and has so much improvement still to come, he will be by so far the better player that the two's careers won't even be mentioned in the same breath.

For once I agree with you Kenny, Yze is far better than Riewoldt. You can't say Riewoldt is better because he is going to be an absolute superstar as it hasn't happened yet, and may not happen it is purely speculation.
You can only judge on two players performances, seeing as though Riewoldt only has one full season to judge on then it is quite simple to see that Yze is the better player as he made the AA side, Riewoldt did not.
Anyone who says Riewoldt is currently a better player is just plain wrong.

At this stage in time, Yze is the better player.
What?.. Yze is a great player but he aint no superstar, there is no promise that he'll get better aswell.. And you can compare them... they're footballers.. it's like comparing Treadrea and Voss.. Voss is easily the better footballer but play different roles... !
Riewoldt would easily slip into any team and in the last game of the season against the DEMONS was BOG... 6 goals up forward.. if he given that role all year and kicked ## goals.. would he be rated differently than the player who played across HF and HB and took more marks than any other player this season..?

Riewoldt has a lot of hype, much like Ottens got 2 years ago, how can you say a young player with great potential is better than a guy who is a proven week in week out champion midfielder?
