He hardly ever plays for his state. You want your captain to captain regularly. Katich didn't captain NSW when he returned either.

Well if White was in the team I suspect he would be the man but due to him not being selected I would imagine Clarke is the only guy in the current team who the Captaincy can be given to.

Atm hope pray and cross your fingers that he either starts averaging 60* domestically or someone else comes along from no where because our current 11 are all unfit to fill pontings shoes.
