Yeh great call on Dick's slippery hands (ok I need to grow up) I wonder if it is just a matter of not getting ahead of himself. He is a fairly excitable bloke and it may be a matter of him working out picking up the ball, looking where he is going to dish it and taking his eye off the ball. He may just have fumbly hands.

Just touching base on afew of the points i mentioned earlier. There isnt daylight between some of the players whom are in the team and some of those that are out. N. Brown/Reid, Dick/Dawes, Wellingham/McCaffer/Goldsack. Some of these blokes are going to be forced to spend a big chunk in the resies, but cant be deprived of the opportunity in the seniors aswell, as they will be required players in 2011. Youd think that after next year Presti, Lockyer, Johnson, O'Bree, Fraser(possibly if his body cant hold up) could all retire. So theres a fine line between whats best for the club in the long run and playing experienced players(im sure MM knows this).

Yeah I'd either put it down to this, or him being a little cautious of body contact stemming from having such a slight frame... He doesn't have a problem with throwing himself into a tackle though.

I dunno, but it isn't a great asset for an opportunistic goal sneak to have, I'm sure he'll sort it out though because he generally is pretty silky... It wasn't something I ever really noticed in the VFL either, so yeah, he probably just is getting a bit ahead of himself on the big stage.

Cloke needs to work on his set shots and decisions.

I'd love to see a statistic, but he kicks aimlessly long to nobody in particular far too often for my liking. I'd like to see him get a more expansive passing game to him rather than hoof it long.

The other thing he needs to do as everybody has said and made perfectly obvious, is learning to kick straight. Surely it's not that hard to do when twelve year olds nail some of the shots he misses.

Agree with pretty much everything thats been said.

Anthony:
put on 3-4kg of muscle, and work hard on different kinds of leading and positioning.

Wood & Dick:
put on more muscle, lock them in the gym with Buckley over summer.

Sidebottom: has elite endurance already, similar to the previous players he should hit the gym hard to build up a body.

Reid, work with Presti, and O'Brien, and bulk up his chicken legs.

Cox, just lay of the KFC and hit the training track.

Cloke: change how he takes sets shots and practice, practice, practice shots on goal. Barham, practice kicking, being the worst kick in the league is not good.

There are a few.

Dawes - He needs to get solid hands overhead. If there was some kind of way to tape his hands above his face without restricting his marking ability that would be great but there isn't. One thing I'd suggest is have a coach pushing him under the flight of the ball consistantly when his going for marks. Just have someone kicking the ball in long and have someone go with him and give him a decent shove in the back as he gets to the ball. Make him take the ball higher then he'd like to.

Agree Dawes need to work on his Overhead Marking though did get better this year. Needs to work on his Reading of Long Balls into thr Forward 50 where he can get Lost

That's My Thoughts about that

Jaxson Barham- Needs to work and work on his kicking becuase he probably is the worst kick in the compitition when under pressure to hita target hopefully with bucks being on board now he should gain some good tips. I would love to see barham playing a David wojo role off half back in the coming years they both have the pace to burn but until jaxson can hit targets we cant play him there.

Get Jackie Moon on the powershakes and 'roids (jk, but seriously) and bulk him up to hell. Watching him get monstered by the likes of Lake and Scarlett made me nauseous.

Obvious consensus here that most of our mids don't just need to lift weights over the summer - they need to eat them! MM said as much after we were monstered by each of the teams we played in our last four matches (I'm including the almighty touch-up we got from Adelaide in the 1st-half). I hope he's as good as his word. The Doggies bulked up seriously post-2007 and it improved them out of sight.
