I met Colin in the toilets at Toronto Airport. That's kind of perfect as far as I'm concerned.

ok, the entire show, and an unforgettable moment in television history..

I wouldn't say it the best show, but pretty funny.

Nowhere near impromptu though. Only Americans would believe that.

There are two types of people in the world. Those that recognise that WLIIA isn't truly impromptu, and those that realise that it doesn't matter because it's funny as **** regardless.

if you look at some of the bloopers, I believe it's more impromptu than you think.

They're all very accomplished improptu actors, no question about that. They're all very capable of doing improv comedy and doing it very well.

However, the American WLIIA is much less impromptu than it appears because the shows work to a very rigid formula. After watching it for a while you can start to predict which jokes are going to be made by any of the given performers, and if the viewer can do it, then the other performers can as well and they play off it.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a skill to be able to go with it and the show worked as well as it did because Ryan/Colin/Wayne had such great chemistry together, but it's different (I would say better) than a truly improv comedy show.

true, but there's only a finite number of jokes that sometimes can be made, and also many episodes were filmed at a time.

In any case, piss funny show!
