Except that Australia is the only country to do it this way. It can read either way in cricket 5 wickets lost for 200 runs or 200 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

The stable number argument is stupid because it's shorthand. It's like a tally, 3 days, 4 months, 2014 years.

But by that logic the US would do dates as 2014/4/16. But they do not, they do 4/16/2014. Checkmate.
