Why are West Coast Fans so bitter ?

Having a quick glance at some of the regular Eagle Fans posting here (Jod123, Eagleskickass, SexyScott14) and having browsed at the fan forum at the Eagles offical website, i am left to wonder why Eagles fans, more than anyother supporters in the league that i am aware of seem to be so bitter about issues relating to football that it really is quite funny. I honestly don't blame Mitchell White and Metropolis for leaving the club when some eagle fans are so cut towards everyone and everything that isn't an eagle. take their attitude to the freo dockers for instance. i was rapt when the Dockers rolled them by a point as the crap that stemmed from the jealous and bitter eagle fans was something to behold. Now there might be a few nice ones, and i know a few who are gracious and humble in defeat, and i too get bitter and annoyed when Geelong lose, but really West Coast has no one but themselves for the situation they are in. They really should have delisted Chris Lewis 3 or 4 years ago, and a few other older stars should have moved on. Ken Judge is doing the right thing for WCE's future, and most of you eagle supporters want him sacked !!! Give Judgey Time and the Ego's might be back in the firing line. Kasey Jones (is that his name ?) looks a good prospect, Ben Cousins is an inspiration and will make a good captain, and if he can stay injury free, Wirrapunda could win a brownlow. And you have a few other good kids like Chambers, and i think Michael Colica will fit in well with Judge's game plan. You might not make the 8 next year, i must admit you had a horrendous run with injuries in 2000, but you should think Positive Eagles fans, contemporize with the changing of the guard, i know that only 3 or 4 players remain from Geelong's 94 GF side, and look how good our team will be in a year or 2's time.

Walshy and sandie, why pick on G4E just because it is G4E???

His post is fairly even handed and although I can't say I have studied his facts they do seem plausible.

Looking at the times of all three posts I suspect you both just saw another G4E started thread and jumped in. Your comments don't address anything he said in the post and only Sandie slightly hinted at the thread topic.

Having said that, if he has a go at my team next and I believe he is wrong or just trying to stir up response then I will generally ignore it rather than get into a slanging match like the Essendon thread did.

THANK YOU G4E on one point, YOU ARE BACKING KEN JUDGE. As much as i hate the cats and love the Eagles and support all our fellow supporters I am glad someone has said Ken Judge aint so bad. I won't say he is a Kevin Sheedy or a David Parkin but i do believe he is a good coach and the coach we need. Just because we didn't make the finals this year, don't fret, i didn't think we would any way. When a team is rebuilding you don't get instant success, it takes time and I think ken will rebuild the eagles well and Hopefully the next coach will be the Legendary WOOSHA. I am one of the few eagles supporters on here, and in the community, that likes ken judge but I do see your critisisms of him and agree on some.

Yeah, i think that is one of the very few well thought out posts from Geelong4Eva.
But i'm not all that worried, because our list is still very strong and given a half-descent run with injuries we'll be back in 2001.

You dont delist champions and stalwarts of your club like Lewis you give them respect but i dont think Geelong know much about respect. Ken Judge aint that bad i dont hate him but i dont love him either. Next year we'll be alright so dont count us out yet.


Oh and when i see a post by G4E i just cant stop thinking about 92 and 94 and how much you must hate our club hahahah suffer.

Comon its been over 6 years since the eagles beat geelong for the second time in 2 years in the grand final

Solider on G4E you will get through these hard times,just dont take it out on other teams in an effort to create a backlash
