Why boycotting Israel matters

Milo has had issues in a number of jurisdictions. This is the first time Kanazi has been refused a visa. Only a weak under-the-thumb government would take such an action. Thankfully- hopefully- we only have a few weeks more to suffer their incompetence.
Nice deflection. Other jurisdictions are irrelevant to Australia. It is clear that you don't support freedom of speech and the primary reason you are protesting his refused visa is through your unbridled support of Palestine and your strong disdain of Israel. What is wrong with the government banning an extremist left wing person anymore than banning a right wing extremist person. In fact there is nothing about the decision being weak under the thumb especially since there are examples of the same sorts of extremist actions Yiannopoulous got refused opn.

So support for Palestine and disdain for Israel is sufficient reason to ban someone? What arrant nonsense. It's an opportunistic political decision by a weak government.

And there is no deflection. The fact this is this is first time Kanazi has been refused a visa anywhere in the world and that is very relevant.

ROFL do you think the decision to ban Yiannopolous was made meritoriously on his actions or was that opportunistic political decision too? The xamples of his behaviour put forward show he is an extremist just like Yiannopolous is.

The Victorian Labor even supported the refusal with Philip Dalidakis stating that
Victorian Labor MP Philip Dalidakis has backed the ADC’s call. “Hate speech from white supremacism on the right, or anti-Semitism dressed up and represented as anti-Zionism on the left are both issues of ignorance and hate,” Mr Dalidakis said.

“Remi Kanazi should not be allowed to enter Australia and be given a platform to spread a message of hate and intolerance.”

I see they want to formally annex the West Bank settlements now. At least it means people will finally stop dreaming about the two-state solution, which has been dead for a decade now. I guess Israel will rule the Palestinians and come down on any dissent like a tonne of bricks, even more so than at present. Maybe they'll find a way to deport them to Jordan or somewhere. Not that Jordan would want them after Black September.

Anyone know when Gaza will be holding their next elections... oh wait. Hamas don't like elections do they?

Anyone know when the West Bank will be running elections? Oh wait... Abbas is into the 15th year of his four year term. Definitely nothing sus there...

But that doesnt fit into the "bibi is corrupt" narrative.

.. anyway, carry on with the Israel hate.. rabble rabble rabble

The Bibi corruption is all make believe. Right!

Gideon Levy is correct in putting that the issues are deeper than just a tyrannous PM. Backed by a venal President and 10.5 million US a day the neo cons in Israel feel they can get away with pretty much whatever they wish.

And, of course, the election was completely legit and fair to all.

[Hadith] 1820. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: The Last Hour will not come until the Muslims fight against the Jews, until a Jew will hide himself behind a stone or a tree, and the stone or the tree will say: “O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him,” but Al-Gharqad tree will not say so, for it is the tree of the Jews.’” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In a brief filed earlier this year as part of a court case concerning Arizona’s anti-BDS law, the state’s attorney-general Mark Brnovich noted that the BDS campaign aids Palestinian terrorist groups including Hamas, as well as the PLO, which provides payments and stipends to convicted terrorists or their families.

This is hardly surprising. After all, given the increasing indifference of the Arab world, the one remaining weapon in the Palestinians’ political armory is the hatred of Israel by the useful idiots of the Western Left.

Within those Western circles, it’s clear that the campaign against Israel is another symptom of “intersectionality,” that Orwellian discourse which links “victim” groups into a phalanx of grievance culture, and presents hatred, lies and bigotry as “social justice.”

This is the orthodoxy of the Left – and rule by the Left always spells failure. Tragically, the one real success of the BDS movement is in accelerating dislike of Israel within the American Jewish community – which is already on the way to decimating itself through turning away from Jewish precepts and embracing their antithesis in liberal universalist ideologies.

Just as Netanyahu provided Trump instruction on the political possibilities of right-wing populism, Trump has provided Netanyahu with instruction on the possibilities of outrageous invective, voter suppression, and disdain for the law. Netanyahu now delights in the use of such phrases as “fake news.” Investigations into his financial adventures are “witch hunts.” To suppress the Arab vote in last week’s election, his supporters mounted more than a thousand cameras at polling places where Arab citizens ordinarily vote, the better to intimidate them.
