why bradley the correct choice

Even though he kicked 40 goals this year, he was still hot and cold. I understand that is one of the vagaries of the position, but, if he isn't getting opportunities or not making the most of them, what use is he to the team by sitting in a forward pocket? Better that he moves up the ground and gets into the play. He definitely has the ability to make an impact as a midfielder. He'd be a better player if he had a second string to his bow.

Cupido will be training with John Quinn's endurance pack this pre-season as he has identified his endurance as a major weakness. Essendon fitness staff say it will take another pre-season to get him to on-baller standard. Yet i would expect him to play some patches on a wing nest year where his pace and disposal will cause teams problems

This is of course a personal opinion but Andrew Welsh looks a player suited or at least able to be turned into an in-under midfeilder 187cm could admittedly use a few kgs as he is only 75ish?? but he reads it well has a touch of class as is tough as nails in the clinches... questin over pace i havent seen his time trial and sprint results.. but hey...

I really rate this kid....

True Stevo and if Sheeds sticks true to form and if Mr Media Rohan is right then we should see more of Cupido playing around the ground next year.

The only thing to keep in mind to his "hot and cold" last year was that it was his first full, uninterrupted season of senior footy.

Someone else that a lot of Bomber fans seem to gloss over is McPhee. I thought he was as good as any of our other players last year. People do not seem to rate him highly but I earmarked him when we first picked him up (due to a Freo friend) as someone who we can rely on down back. Not only that but he does seem to like to create a bit and can go forward when needed as we saw.

What do you think Stevo?

He has real leadership qualities. I like him across half back at the moment, but eventually he could push into the middle.

Very true, and I wonder how much his knee affected him throughout the year?

He had a slow start to the year, and I did question his place in the team. I thought a couple of weeks in the VFL would do him some good. But he proved me wrong and finished off the year in fine form. His two finals were excellent, and apart from Lucas he was our best against Port.

I agree, he's reliable down back and can do a job. He's a tad undersized to be a genuine tall defender, but he's big enough to do the job in a pinch. He's also quick and hard, so he can take the smaller guys. His strength overhead makes him a good option for the wing, and we've seen him kick goals when he's given more freedom. Not sure about him becoming an onballer, at this stage, but he certainly has plenty of courage and hardness and wins the hardball.

He has all the right credentials to suggest he will be a star... note best player in under 18 champs against the Tenance and Sylvia's of the world... Conney didnt play was playing for West adelaide i believe?? could be wrong... but thats somewhat impressive...

he is Tall and can run good skills a lot of Goodes about him... And with Hille looking the goods being able to Have hille at Centre bounces moving into forward line with Bradles running around the wing and doing the "in game" ruck work, it looks good.

But we also have to bare in mind that no matter how good bradley becomes he wont do it next year... or even the year after likley.

Dontsay where id our number 6 pick go just because he doesnt Sam Mitchell onto the scene next year

Good Luck to him.

At this stage, yes, but Winderlich has bigger potential. Tenace has three main attributes: Pace, Ball-getting, Disposal. Winderlich is not quite up to Tenace's level in those three areas, but is significantly better overhead, is extremely quick-thinking, reads the play very well, creates something out of nothing, has more "freak factor".
and he is a year younger and what else do you need as a midfielder than pace ball getting ability and great disposal, if he can get the ball alot and have great disposal and great pace then he can kick goals as well.

Cooney would have won the Larke Medal if he didn't sit out injured in the last game. Kepler is a 3 year project at least so give him some time. He can find the pill so don't worry about that too much. It's more his physical presence/weight gaining ability I'm uncertain of.
