Ahem, the very first AFL premiership, undefeated H & A season, most wins of any club, most finals won by any club, 4 premierships in a row, most hall of fame players, highest winning percentage (only club over 60% for 110 years) headed the premiership table for 60 years, longer than the other 15 clubs put together, a dominance unmatched to this day and likely for all time...

and about 8 more flags than the handbags from sleepy hollow :p:p:p

Remind me again what you backwater bumpkins from butt crack county have done?

So Ancient. That sixy percent thing is really amusing. WGAF? IIR you're lot is about the only side we can beat in Grand Finals as for butt crack..well, I've never done that but you seem remarkably informed. Your jealousy of the true powers of the league is most revealling but it is most refreshing to see you youngsters take so much interest in ancient history.

Handbags. Pfft. Did you think that one up all by yourself

I'd suggest you have missed a lot of things. Time has moved on my friend. I could bring up some meaningless stats that Geelong fans could research but it wouldn't alter the fact that Collingwood just aren't worth hating. The fact that you bring my club into the equation instead of really comparing Collingwood's recent history to West Coast, Sydney or Brisbane is again most revealing.

I still don't hate Collingwood and I don't hate you. I could go on about the 1937 Grand Final but why bother..it is history my chum and it won't help us one iota when we next play Sydney in Sydney or West Coast anywhere.

I suppose a lot of people hate Collingwood is because of all of the hype generated by a club that hasn't done anything in the last fifty or so years. Imagine Manchester United coming out with that guff with two flags in fifty years?

However, I don't live in Melbourne and as such have not been exposed to Collingwood's infamous corporate bull5hit generator. Even though we are well down the pecking order (pardon the pun) as you suggest Collingwood are also well down the order when it comes to teams that have hurt us, especially since Gary Ablett retired in a period when we have taken many a lump.

This is my Cat pain rating of the AFL era.

1. West Coast
2. Sydney
3. Brisbane
4. Adelaide
5. Carlton
6. Kangaroos

Get the picture...you're not even close..and we have been ordinary as you have suggested but your mob hasn't had much to with that has it? In fact, about the only thing that has amused distressed Cat fans across the land during this barren period was your heartbreaking loss to Brisbane in that Grand Final and the magnificent way your pea hearted team jumped out of the way of the Big Bad Lions in the laughable 2003 Grand Final. You were so feeble that day it made our 1995 effort against the Blues look like a committed contest. That is your modern contribution and I for one thank you for it.

Collingwood are a phenomenon! they led the premiership table (ie: most flags) for 60 years spanning the greater part of the century, more than the other 15 clubs put together, this total domination over many generations has scarred the football psyche for all time and has made Collingwood unique in it's rabid supporters and detractors
Nearly all the flags were in the years of the knickerbockers.

This makes better and more fun reading..........Kept a legion of fans amoused for years.
