Why did Luke Hodge screw Hawthorn?

Luke Hodge, superstar and shining light of hope, courage and just an all around good bloke, Hawthorn's arguably greatest ever clubman, and one of its most decorated playerts of all time..

then he decided for reasons best known to him and declared:
"**** this club, **** it right in its blasted, distended Bosk-like ass! I'm retired"..:oops::$
and duly did so, to much lauding and acclaim of what a good bloke he was(apparently at the same time as Josh Gibson, but you know "**** that guy"no-one cares about Josh Gibson, as the guy was so far up his own ass he would watch himself floss..

then good bloke suddenly announced "lawl, just jokes kids, I'm off to Brisbane! Trollolol EEAD Clarko!"

and announced that of all the clubs in the AFL he had chosen the he was joining the Brisbane Lions!!!

considering that same team just announced it's no 1 draft pick is up for grabs and so is the no2 draft pick from last year!!

So the hawks could have proposed (using the Judd trade as a precedent) hodge for pick 1 and Scache??

irrespective of how realistic you might think that trade is..

so dwell on that Hawks fans especially

Luke Hodge clearly hates Hawthorn..?

why is that?

:thumbsu:

Hodge just saw the writing on the wall when going over the history of Hawforn's shabby treatment of former stars and captains and reflecting on the rotten culture there..

Ablett Snr never given a fair chance.
Matthews forced to retire in tears.
Ayres told to get on his bike due to "modernisation" of the list.
Tuck forced out to pasture so as not to ruin his or the club's reputation. :$
Bukenara gradually written off the list due to his knees.
Brereton forced to retire.
Mitchell kicked to the curb.
Lewis kicked to Melbourne.
CEO sacked because she wasn't "male" enough.
Travis Tuck thrown on the scrap heap.
Dale Garlett disowned after being led astray by the alcoholic Hodge himself..

Not a good resume when contemplating whether or not you want to set your future up with this "family club".

Hodge was probably told to retire anyway (to again protect the club's "precious" reputation) and just hasn't openly admitted it yet.

Never fear though, after what will probably be a successful career at the Lions he will fondly remember himself as a Brisbane legend first, a Hawforn scape goat and whipping boy second.

He's too good of a bloke for the hawfs

I left a better thread than this in the toilet this morning.

One of your better efforts. Haha.
