Its a question alot of people have pondered over the years. Why did a talented FF like Richo stay at a club with so little ambition, talent or finals success. The answer is simple. Its the thing that all Victorian players play for. It isnt a premiership. It isnt success. Its the almighty dollar.

No playing list in the comp shows this more then Richmond. Their club culture has been ripped apart by a bunch of blokes using the club as a retirement fund. Parking their hefty wages onto them and providing little service in return. Nathan Brown, Darren Gaspar and to a lesser extent Richo are examples of this. All 3 talented players who went to a club like Richmond who care little for success really as they dont actually know what it looks like. They got a big payrise and since that day they have been able to collect their paycheques and have been able to let their careers drift away without reaching there potential.

Until Victoria and Richmond realise that success is more important then the dollars they will continue to hold down the bottom rungs of the ladder. They sold their game to W.A for a couple of mill and now it looks like the players have decided to sell success to a club like the Eagles for a easy career and a couple of extra bucks. Good decision, lets wait and see

Proof positive yet again, that the dim of mind should not be let within 10 metres of a computer keyboard!!

Nice troll, love your posts F-U

Simple "Love of a club and the game of footy"

Some of us (Both players/fans) bleed their teams colours. It's just the way some of us are made
Easily fooled I see. Ive seen more passion at a morgue then at the Richmond footy club. You dont spit at your coach unless their is something seriously wrong with the club culture. This is it. Down from the coach Terry Wallets, to the players in Brown Richo. Every single employee of the club is their to earn there paycheques and go home. No one wants success and its the reason your club hasnt seen any for a loooong time

Richo could've doubled his coin had he shopped himself around.

Pathetic, even for you.

Richardson came to the tigers under the father/son rule. Obviously this means that his father played for the club and naturally Richardson would want to play for Richmond. There is no denying that Richardson's heart is at Richmond and the fact he has been sticking with the club despite the fact that the club has not had a good list for 25 years says a lot about his loyalty.
Money has little to do with him being at Richmond. He could have got a similar pay at other clubs in the past. But I do agree that being at Richmond he has not lived up to his full potential and experienced success. If he played for a club like Essendon or Carlton when he started his carreer in the early 90's, he would be close to kicking 1000 goals now rather than 700.

Just like Richmond supporters I suppose.
Richmond are still one of the BIG 4 of the AFL despite a quater of a century in the wilderness.

Yhat type of loyalty is difficult for someone who supports one of the franchises to understand.
After all who would contemplate such loyalty to what is an invention of Victorian advertising executives.

Poor effort, disappointing considering its a topic that definetly could have had some legs and factual evidence but unfortunately you picked one of the very few Richmond players who in recent times doesn't fall into this category.

agree with vince. browny def falls into the category but richo? where do i start mate you have no idea, you should go down to punt road for a day or two and you would see how much this bloke loves the club and the people at the club. character is more important than success and richo is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. everybody that reads this will never take u serious on here again.
