I like BT commentating in boring games because he at least adds some excitement and by going off-topic he's not really taking away from the match, but hate him when he commentates the Swans or in a close game because he is constantly barracking, making it all about him and doesn't know half the players names.
 
BT is just a cog in the crappy channel 7 coverage of AFL. Just everything sucks and at times cringeworthy about that network, starting with the boys are back intro.

I love BT personally, adds a bit of colour and humour into the game.

Personally I would be bored to tears with a commentator calling it play by play robotically because I can see with my own two eyes what's going on in the game. I enjoy the banter between him, Lingy and Richo and some of the pearlers that he drops like the 'BIG PARTICLES OF WATER' last night crack me up.

Some people here will just never be happy I suppose.

I was hating him say Port won by "half a goal" last night! Like, what? It's not like you can kick a half-goal so why is that relevant? It may sound petty but it was really annoying

He literally treats commentary like it's all a big joke. Have to admit though if I'm semi-tanked and he's doing a Freo game where we're doing well I am usually highly entertained due to his sheer ridiculousness and ott style. When he's in the company of senior peers like Dennis and Bruce he is actually capable of restrained and less hyperbolic commentary but that's a rare occasion.

He seems to at least have a slight soft spot for freo. Would take him over a piece of shit like Sandy Roberts or Fat Eddie any day.

He's basically the only commentator who seems to genuinely love Hayden Ballantyne so he wins bulk points for that.
 
I like BT but don't like him with the Ch7 crew. On MMM i liked the chemistry, they played off eachother. On TV they're all there to do the same job like robots. So when you're switching between Bruce and BT's styles it's awkward.

On MMM they would always let BT call when Leon Davis was within 50m of the ball. I liked how they change to BT like giving a fat kid cake, just so he could make a call on LEONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Bear in mind, it's radio, if you don't like triple M, go to any other station.

For TV I understand his appeal wouldn't work for a lot of people but I don't think any current commentator appeases everybody. Dennis is probably the best.
