Want to drop Jake Lloyd

Every week i read out: lloyd

Usually for Mitchell (even if Tom is injured).

Now i love Tom and want to see him flourish at Sydney, but we need pace badly, Lloyd out for Mitchell makes that problem worse.

That aside can people who would drop Lloyd explain why? to me he is a bit of a ball magnet, good pace, great awareness and a good user, why is he out of anyones best 22? I would probably use him as sub ala Parker 2012, but to me he is a lock in this side, am i watching a different game? Can someone enlighten me

I agree, however I think he was starting to tire for a few games there after a long sting of consecutive full games (understandable for a young player).

After a couple of games as sub seems to have freshened him up and he was back to his ball hunting / ball using best in the last quarter against Port. No idea why you'd want to drop him after that.

Couldn't agree more. Lloyd is, and has been a fantastic addition to our team.

Definitely in my best 22.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But we all know that the MC make the best decision regarding team selection and that they feel Lloyd is playing his role in the team. I actually thought when Tippett was subbed that he came on had a pretty good last term. He ran hard to create space on the outside, which at that point, was tough to do considering. I think having Cunningham, Lloyd and Jetta in the side gives us a great look at our outside run that many (media) criticised about our side and that on big grounds we'll get opened up.

In all fairness he is currently in the sub position. Pretty hard to consistently hold a spot from there. But he is an absolute gem.

Has he been found out this year? Nup. He was MIA a bit against the Hawks. But he was no worse than a bunch of our very highly rated players were. Regardless, he found himself in the sub position for the last two weeks. But I thought he reacted to this 'demotion' brilliantly. And he has immediately proved to be arguably our only effective Substitute so far this year.

He should play a part in September for us now, you'd think?

I will....when everyone else does.
As far as I knew it was just in & outs ....not whys.
maybe that needs to be added

Didnt know there was ever any rule??

I guess if people are going to make seemingly stupid calls for changes you expect there to be some reason behind it
