Just down the road from ENGIE lies Accor Stadium where GWS played their inaugural match and inaugural finals match

It's been only used once since 2017 with 2022 R1 being the only time GWS has played a home game at the former Olympic Stadium which seats 83,000

Why doesn't the Giants play home games vs big drawing clubs and finals there?

For the same reason the AFL doesn't fixture the Saints to play the Gold Coast at the MCG.

Why do VFL fans continue to think they know what’s best for clubs outside the fishbowl?
Because this particular football league is a Victorian based competition with invited guests along with make-believe clubs like your own ..who hang onto the skirts of the Victorian based League commission because they bankroll your said make believe club/ organisation..and you should just know your place and stop whining.

Melbourne is the big fishbowl and everyone outside the perimeter comes from the murky swamps of desperation…except for the two WA clubs who are flushed with their own impressive cash reserves and vast resources.
And Geelong ..because they make their own money and are a foundation club and a large part of Australian Rules history.

The Giants are like a powerhouse country football club. Like a Shepparton FC..without the 27 flags.
Which is great …but stand you next to even the most tragic of VFL clubs like NM and their history and relevance is far more important to the league and its vast number of Victorian fans of the game.

I thought Sydney's prelim of 2024 should have been played there, would have had a bigger crowd than the SCG.

And yet all this knowledge, with controlling our board and deciding the leadership, has done two fifths with our part time atatus.

Maybe you guys don’t know all.

Can you translate that into comprehensive Queens English please?..thank you kindly my simple friend.

However..if you were blind on fortified wine or some other jungle juice of your choice..disregard my request and carry on regardless.

Beacuse its a horrible, horrible venue for footy which is kept in NRL condition (longer grass, seats in) with League obviously the prime tenant. It also would restrict the AFL on when they can use the venue, NRL would have first right on any time slot.

Also, the Giants need to get their fans into a routine, using a ground right next door on the odd ocassion doesn't really help with that. (I do think they need a second venue in Sydney, but further away, and scrap the Canberra connection so they can focus more narrowly on a single population and economic corridor.)
Plus, why give up a genuine (or of not genuine at least theoretically achievable) home ground advantage in finals for a travel only one?
